A Who Cares Guide to Iran v Spain World Cup Action

Welcome to the Who Cares Guide to Iran v Spain World Cup Action. The Gurgler’s quick and easy guide for the key fixture for Group B.

If you have visited us before, you’ll know for all of the Group Stage matches we have gone to the minimal of effort, so you can go to even less to keep up to date. We hope that has worked out for you.

With the next round of Group stage matches kicking off, why would we change the format.

We throw in some barely interesting stats that you impress the many people in your life at work, home, or even in the supermarker aisle comparing the virtues of dishwasher tablets.

The preview will be followed by a review of the match afterwards with the same who cares attitude that you have come here for.

So time to get into the second round of fixtures with a look forward to the Iran v Spain World Cup Action.

How Should I Watch It?

Should I Stay Up? (Must watch and Stay Up),
Get Up? (Gotta watch live with pre sleep),
Wake Up? (Record and Wake up Normal Time), or
Catch Up? (Check the Score and the Group table and move on)

Wake up – hard to think this will be a classic, so record it and wake up at your leisure. There should still be some good skills on offer by Spain.

The story…

Iran are the surprise early leaders of Group B, thanks to one of the sweetest headers you’ll see at the World Cup….from their opposition into their own goal. But a win is a win, and it puts them in a good position heading into the tougher games ahead against Spain and Portugal. Given their tight defensive qualities, the big two might have trouble breaking them down. The Spanish played out the most entertaining of draws against Portugal last time, and they looked excellent throughout, only going drawing after late Ronaldo magic. Spain should beat Iran on paper, but favorites haven’t done so well at this World Cup so far

Group B PL W D L GF – GA PTS
Iran 1 1 0 0 1 – 0 3
Portugal 1 0 1 0 3 – 3 1
Spain 1 0 1 0 3 – 3 1
