BEST OF THINGS FROM NRL Round 2

OUR FAVOURITE THINGS OF THE WEEK

Just a few of our favourite things….unlike whiskers on kittens.

Newcastle & Wests Tigers winning again. Two of our three selections for bottom three. What would we know?

Come-Uppence to ourselves by saying the Broncos halves were underwhelming and a major worry for the season after Round 1.

GAME OF THE WEEK

Broncos v Cowboys – which rarely disappoints.

WORST OF THINGS FROM NRL Round 2

Racist abuse suffered by Greg Inglis. Sure as a Rabbitohs fan you could point out a level of dissatisfaction with injuries and contribution to the last few seasons, but racist gear is ordinary and worthy of a life ban.

Parramatta Eels.

QUESTIONS, QUERIES, & QUIRKS FROM NRL Round 2

How about a few points of interests or questions from the game in NRL Round 2.

SHARKS v DRAGONS – Tries in last 5 minutes before half time are killers. Last check by us, around 75% of teams who score between the 35th and 40th minute go on to win.

SHARKS v DRAGONS – Was the Sharks 10 minute period with Dragon in the Sin Bin the worst passage o rugby league for the weekend.

SHARKS v DRAGONS – Ben Hunt’s kick and response to it a great reminder of playing to the whistle.

BRONCOS v COWBOYS – Why not attempt to catch the ball? Worst result that way is you drop. Not bothering means the ball and will bounce anywhere to anyone, like the Broncos first try.

BRONCOS v COWBOYS – As good as Ben Hampton and Te Maire Martin, they are no Michael Morgan.

BRONCOS v COWBOYS – Is Gavin Cooper & Johnathan Thurston the best half-fringe forward combo in the comp?

BRONCOS v COWBOYS – Was the Goal Post responsible or try saving tackle of the season?

ROOSTERS v BULLDOGS – Didn’t take Roosters long to get to their best.

ROOSTERS v BULLDOGS – David Klemmer looks meaner, and therefore better with a freshly shaved head.

ROOSTERS v BULLDOGS – A second time this weekend where a team failed to capitalise on the extra man.

ROOSTERS v BULLDOGS – Is Jared Waerea-Hargreaves a sent force?

WARRIORS v TITANS – Time now for the Warriors bandwagon?

WARRIORS v TITANS – Titans punished completely for No Try, which was a bit harsh.

PANTHERS v RABBITOHS – Penrith should just start every game at 14-0 down and save some time, and hopes for opposition fans.

PANTHERS v RABBITOHS – Why was Sam Burgess so angry?

PANTHERS v RABBITOHS – Cody Walker try of the year contenders?

STORM v TIGERS – Was Billy Slater’s the saddest 300th Game celebration of all.

STORM v TIGERS – The Tigers are the 10-8 upset kings.

SEA EAGLES v EELS – Is it all Jarryd Hayne’s fault? No. Does he help? No.

SEA EAGLES v EELS – Does it really matter how well DCE plays in relation to Origin call up?

SEA EAGLES v EELS – Are the Trbojevic brothers going to be the best siblings of all time?

SEA EAGLES v EELS – Mitchell Moses really needs a break that bad?

RAIDERS v KNIGHTS – Kalyn Ponga is worth the hype.

RAIDERS v KNIGHTS – Origin bolter Mitchell P:earce looking good for another Blues tilt.

RAIDERS v KNIGHTS – How long will Ricky take the close losses without exploding.

MINTO MAGIC – Unsung Hero / Battler of the Week

Is there anyone more unsung than Scott “Remember Me” Minto. Who better who name our unsung hero/battler of the week performance.

Wests Tigers – a team with of the lowest number of Superstars have beaten the two title favourites so far.

A LESSON IN SUPERCOACH FROM NRL ROUND 2

What did we learn from Supercoach this weekend?

Get rid of Mitchell Moses. Thought he might kick on after great World Cup for Lebanon
How many more bargains can we shove into our side before Week 3 price rise.
Not having Michael Morgan means an expensive non playing reserve.
Kalyn Ponga was worth the punt.
