Brisbane’s finest and only newspaper The Courier Mail has taken out November’s Jerk of the Month award for their outstanding Queensland Election coverage.
Many questioned why they ran Newspaper of the Year on their front page a few years ago, but one look at the tabloid during the Queensland Election will show you why it received such a high honour.
It also gives the reason for their win in the Jerk of the month for November.
Readers of The Gurgler gave the Brisbane based rag the nod ahead of a former One Nation senator Fraser Anning who got 19 personal votes in the most recent federal Senate election and 4 votes for Jerk of the Month.
Regular Jerk nominees Bernard Tomic, and last year’s Jerk of the Year winner Channel Nein Cricket Commentary team, also got some token votes.
Not enough to take the Jerk of the Month award away from the Courier Mail.
