It’s a great time of the year for sport, and upcoming is a Super Sporting Weekend.
There’s NRL and AFL Finals. With an all Queensland double header, and two AFL Finals with potential premiers looking at potential exits. Penrith v Canberra won’t be too bad either. The UK Super League also have their finals in play too, providing early morning and late night companionship. The second tier Intrust competition’s have their final games before the Grand Finals too.
Throw in the Football from the UK and Europe which are now all into full swing, with more games than you could watch and bet on in a lifetime. A rare Friday Night (UK Time) treat too with Chelsea v Liverpool kicking off the Super Sporting Weekend.
Motorsport has two big events. The night race from Singapore depriving fans in GMT +10 of a race at a decent hour. Word on the street is that Red Bull are primed for wins. Let’s hope their crew is primed for tyres for Ricciardo this time around if they are in front. The other big race is the classic Sandown 500. Doubling as a Retro round, a trip down memory lane awaits.
Awaiting also is the debut of Matt Campbell. The youngster from Warwick has been kicking arse in the Carrera Cup in just his second season against some of Australia’s more seasoned racers. Keep an eye on him in his first V8 start. Worth a value street money bet.
The NFL has kicked off giving betting hipsters their taste. It also stretches the sporting weekend out until Tuesday given almost unlimited coverage this weekend.
Not forgetting golf in the US on this Super Sporting Weekend. The PGA Tour may have a break, but the Web.com Tour finals continues. This is the last chance saloon for those without a full tour card next year including Gurgler favourite Rod Pampling. Why not catch up with his latest work here.
