- THE RACE ITSELF
Normally Monaco is like New Year’s Eve, massive hype, complete disappointment. not this year and as ever rain always helps. It also helps when there is a genuine other car to challenge for wins. Bring on Canada which is always one for action. - LEWIS HAMILTON
It’s hard to like Hamilton, but one must admire the performance, getting the amount of laps he did out of the Ultra Soft tyres and how he hung on with the Wet tyres so he only had to pit once. Also a good recovery after his car issue almost put him out of Q3. - DAN RICCIARDO
On it all weekend, the fastest driver and harshly rewarded with the dud work from the Red Bull team. Whilst he was plain unlucky in Spain with the way the strategy worked out, the pit stop in Monaco was an absolute stinker. The team owe him big and the way he bit his tongue (to a degree) was admirable. - SERGIO PEREZ
Somehow he always seems to take advantage of a crazy race or the slightest opportunity. And somehow we always back Hulkenberg. Bah.
THE BAD
- RED BULL PIT STOP WORK
Given that the only reason Red Bull were at the very front was the outstanding speed of Ricciardo all weekend, the least Red Bull could do was turn up with tyres at his pit stop. Piss poor, and they truly owe him something now. - HAMILTON AND BIEBER
Did he really have to seek out Bieber first. Of course he did. And then to give him the champagne first, Oh F*** Me what a tosser. Amazing his ability to turn begrudging respect into groaning hatred quickly. Pfffft to his celebrity seeking ways. Hopefully they can collaborate on Ham’s album.
THE UGLY
- THE TEAM DEBRIEF AT SAUBER
There’s nothing funnier than two team mates colliding, and whilst it doesn’t have the same impact as the very high profile team mate clash in Spain, it will still be a very uncomfortable experience in their team. - RAIKKONEN
Underwhelming for most of the weekend and probably sealed his Ferrari exit with his hairpin crash in the race.
