PNG CORNER

THE HUNT FOR PNG OCTOBER

The Hunters slipped up in Rockhampton last weekend, and were outplayed by the deserving Capras, a result you wouldn’t have considered last year. Whether the missing Watson Boas was a cause, or the drop ball and penalties which can creep into the Hunters game, it was a disappointing follow up to the high of the PNG Test win, from which the Hunters supplied 10 players. They’ve lost two of their last three, but face an Ipswich side not going quite as well as last year when the Hunters beat them easily at North Ipswich Reserve. But neither are the Hunters if we are honest. We can only hope it is as entertaining as last year, and the Channel 9 cameras will be there for us all the share the fun.
