Our Premier League Tips ‘n’ Stats returns after missing GW24, which was probably a good thing as an Ipswich Town supporter I’m sure we would have tipped them to win 5-0 only to suffer another home defeat. It led to a solid three day sulk. Talking of sulking, our Premier League Predictions Week 25 should be enough to lift any dark clouds. Nothing like football and stats to get the smile back.

BHA v CHE – Chelsea had won four in arow v Brighton before last weekend’s loss in the FA Cup. Chelsea are unbeaten v Brighton at Brighton on a weekday (W4 D3) and also unbeaten v Brighton on a weekday anywhere (W8 D5). Brighton have an impressive record of W3 D1 at home to the big six this season. Chelsea have the same record away to teams in the middle eight.

LEI v ARS – Arsenal are three wins from three v promoted sides this season and W6 D1 v sides currently in the bottom six. Leicester are W1 D1 L5 v big six clubs but have lost all six games so far against teams currently in the top six. Arsenal have won six straight v Leicester.

SOU v BOU – Bournemouth have won the last two games at Southampton. Bournemouth are W2 L1 v promoted sides this season and W5 D1 L1 v teams currently in the bottom six. Southampton are the only side not to beat a team currently in the middle eight (L10 D1).

AVL v IPS – Aston Villa are W3 D1 v promoted sides this season. No sides has played more games v current bottom six sides than Aston Villa (10) and their record is W7 D2 L1. Ipswich’s record away to middle eight sides is W1 D1 L3. Aston Villa have lost only three of their last 15 home games v Ipswich (W12 D1 L2).

WHU v BRE – West Ham (0.89) and Brentford (0.88) have the second worst and worst points per game returns v London clubs this season out of the London clubs. Brentford didn’t win any of their first nine away games but have won their last two. West Ham are W1 L3 at home to London clubs.

MCI v NEW – Man City are unbeaten in 11 league games v Newcastle (W8 D3). Man City have won 15 straight home league games v Newcastle. Man City are unbeaten in 20 home league games v Newcastle (W18 D2) with their last loss coming in 2000. Newcastle’s record against the current top six teams is W2 D2 L1 – Man City’s is W3 D2 L2. Newcastle’s record v big six clubs is W4 D2 L1.

FUL v NFO – Fulham have a record of W4 D2 L1 against the current top six. It’s W1 D1 at home. Nottingham Forest are W1 D1 L1 away to London clubs this season.

CRY v EVE – Everton are unbeaten in their last five games v Crystal Palace (W3 D2). Crystal Palace have won just one of their last 13 home games v Everton (W1 D6 L6). Crystal Palace are W4 D2 L2 v current bottom six clubs. Everton are winless away to London clubs D2 L1.

LIV v WOL – Liverpool are unbeaten in their last seven home games v Wolves (W6 D1). Liverpool have won all five games played v Wolves at home on a Sunday. Wolves record against the current top six teams is D1 L9, away from home it is D1 L3. Liverpool have won all six games v the current bottom six clubs.

TOT v MUN – No team has played more Sunday games than Tottenham, and their record is a modest W4 D2 L9. Man Utd have played the second most Sunday games and their Sunday record is marginally better W4 D4 L6. Spurs are unbeaten in their last four games v Man Utd (W2 D2).
