Seven different winners from four teams, a top six in qualifying you could never predict too accurately in advance, enough of a Championship battle and Red Bull or Lewis Hamilton didn’t win everything. So pole position is still the one to be on to win races, but it is under 70%. The lowest finishing position from pole this season was 6th, other than the two DNFs. Max Verstappen’s win from 16th on the grid in Brazil is definitely an outlier. For interest’s sake, 11th place on the grid had the most retirements.

We awarded points on a 5-4-3-2-1 basis in qualifying and race order for any car that wasn’t a Mercedes, Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari.

The 2024 F1 Season ebbed and flowed with various drivers being the form driver only to be quickly overtaken by another.
