We’re almost halfway there, but even some of the most loyal fans know that a few teams are as good gone. Talking of disappointment, we’re flying through our Premier League Predictions Week 16 and trying to keep the bad news to a minimum.

Each gameweek in the Premier League in 2024-25 we offer up a stat filled prediction preview, with some barely interesting stats and visuals, just enough to bluff your way through various tipping competitions or betting shops.

Barely Interesting Premier League Stats Week 16

Help yourself to a buffet of barely interesting stats to help pick a winner.

ARS v EVE – Arsenal have won both of their games this season v bottom six teams, while Everton have lost both of their games to top six sides. Arsenal have won the last three v Everton. Arsenal have also won 10 of the last 11 games at home to Everton, with a loss in 2021 the fly in the ointment. Covering the Premier League era, Arsenal have only lost two games at home to Everton from 34 games, with a winning strike rate of 79%.

LIV v FUL – Liverpool have never lost a Saturday home game to Fulham (W17 D6). Liverpool haven’t conceded a goal in their last five at home to Fulham, winning by a combined 14-0 with three 4-0 wins plus a further win and one draw. Fulham are winless v big six clubs this season so far (D2 L2). Liverpool are the only club outside of London to be unbeaten against London clubs this season (W3 D1). The others are Arsenal, Chelsea and Fulham.

NEW v LEI – Newcastle are W2 D2 v bottom six teams (at time of match) this season. Leicester have a respectable W2 L3 v middle eight teams. Leicester have a great record at Newcastle, losing just one of their last eight games there – W5 D2 L1.

WOL v IPS – Ipswich (D1 L2) are yet to beat a bottom six side. Wolves have (W1 D1 L1). Ipswich have a terrible record at Wolves, winning just one of their last 17 trips to Wolves (W1 D10 L6). Wolves have the best % for Shot on Target vs Goals Scored in the league this season (41%). These two teams have the worst expected goals in the league, barely over one expected goal per game.

NFO v AVL – Aston Villa have won four in a row v Nottingham Forest on a Saturday. Both of these sides are currently in the top six. Aston Villa have lost all three games to top six sides (at time of game) while Nottingham Forest’s record v top six sides is W1 D2 L2.

BHA V CRY – Brighton are unbeaten in five games v bottom six sides (at time of match) but have only won once W1 D4. Brighton are unbeaten in their last seven games v Crystal Palace W2 D5. The H2H on a Sunday is all tied up – one win each and a draw.

MCI v MUN – Man Utd are one of five teams to lose all their games to big six clubs this season. Man City’s D1 L2 isn’t much better. Lots of goals and Man City wins in the last three games at Man City, as Man City have won the last three games by a combined 13-5. Man City have won four in a row on a Sunday v Man Utd, scoring three of more goals each time.

CHE v BRE – Brentford are unbeaten in their last five games v Chelsea (W3 D2). It’s three wins in a row at Chelsea for Brentford too. Chelsea are unbeaten on a Sunday v Brentford (W1 D1). Brentford’s D1 L6 record means they are one of two teams that remain winless away from home this season.

SOT v TOT – Spurs have won just once v bottom six clubs this season (W1 D2 L1). Southampton have lost all three games so far v London clubs. The last two games for Spurs at Southampton have been draws. Spurs have a good record v Southampton on a Sunday – W8 D2 L2.

BOU v WHU – West Ham have never lost a midweek tie to Bournemouth W5 D3.
