NRL | 2024 NRL Round 6 Team of the Week & Player Stats

Another big weekend of NRL action featuring not one but two golden point games and one draw. There were star performances, work horses giving it their all, and a few getting a spray from Des Hasler. But which players were the best of the best you ask? We’ll let the stats do the talking and separate the Wheat/Chaff to present the 2024 NRL Round 6 Team of the Week & Player Stats.

First we have our Team of the Week, which takes some of the key player stats from the weekend and using various scoring methods come up with the best players in their positions from the latest round of the NRL.

Then there’s additional player stats from this weekend and some bite sized points of interest.

We’ve used the stats for each position and picked the best starting 13 players from the most recent round, the stats and points assigned are explained at the end.

On top of the best starting 13, we include the best four interchange players of the week. Seeing who has provided maximum impact from the bench.

INTERESTING STATS FROM THIS ROUND

  • Sadly due to our laziness our Player stats only go back to 2022. Which means we can only work out that Joey Manu’s 370 run metres is only the third best from 2022, and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad’s 346 run metres is fifth best.
  • Talking of Run Metres, four players made it over 300 metres this weekend, with a player passing 300 metres on one other occasion this season.
  • Talking more of Joey Manu, his 151 Post Contact Metres is the best single game effort going back to 2022.
  • Josh Addo-Carr’s five Line breaks is the second best effort this season for a single game, behind Izack Tago’s six earlier in the season.
  • Broncos Man mountain Xavier Willison passed 100 metres for the first time in his career with 164 run metres from the bench and his 83 Post Contact Metres is double the previous best.
