2023-24 English Premier League Week 7 Predictions – Match by Match H2H Stats Previews
Our big, beautiful full visual preview of each game is below.
More stats than you could probably ever want or need, for now.
SATURDAY 12:30PM – ASTON VILLA v BRIGHTON
THE STAT/S
All of Brighton’s games so far this season have seen over 2.5 goals. Aston Villa have won the last four games between these sides and scored exactly two goals in all four. Aston Villa have lost just one home game v Brighton (W11 D3 L1).
OUR PREDICTION
Aston Villa 2 Brighton 2
OUR THOUGHTS
What a way to kick off the new weekend of Premier League with the two overachieving sides with great attacks going for it. Should be goals-a-plenty.
SATURDAY 3PM – BOURNEMOUTH v ARSENAL
THE STAT/S
Arsenal have lost only once to Bournemouth in 14 matches. Arsenal have won all three games v Bournemouth on a Saturday, and scored exactly three goals in all three games.
OUR PREDICTION
Bournemouth 0 Arsenal 3
OUR THOUGHTS
Looks pretty one-sided on paper this one, as it did last season when Arsenal pulled a late win out of their arse-nal.
SATURDAY 3PM – EVERTON v LUTON
THE STAT/S
Everton (D1 L1) are yet to beat a bottom six sides (bottom six at time of match). Luton Town last beat Everton in 1989, ten games ago.
OUR PREDICTION
Everton 1 Luton 1
OUR THOUGHTS
A relegation six pointer this one. Everton are on the improve, and Luton remain winless despite looking slightly better each week. The battle for the promoted club’s first win rages on.
SATURDAY 3PM – MAN UTD v CRYSTAL PALACE
THE STAT/S
Man Utd have won just 1/4 for home games on a Saturday v Crystal Palace. Man Utd have lost both of their games to London clubs this season.
OUR PREDICTION
Man Utd 1 Crystal Palace 0
OUR THOUGHTS
At least Man Utd aren’t going as bad as Chelsea for big six clubs dissappointments. Crystal Palace are dull this season.
SATURDAY 3PM – NEWCASTLE v BURNLEY
THE STAT/S
Newcastle (W5 D4) are unbeaten in nine home games v Burnley. And last lost to Burnley at home on a Saturday in 1976.
OUR PREDICTION
Newcastle 3 Burnley 0
OUR THOUGHTS
8-0 last week and now play Burnley at home. Could be a big few weeks for the Magpies.
SATURDAY 3PM – WEST HAM v SHEFFIELD UNITED
THE STAT/S
Six of the last nine matches at West Ham between West Ham and Sheffield United have ended in a draw.
OUR PREDICTION
West Ham 0 Sheffield Utd 0
OUR THOUGHTS
West Ham’s bright season has slowed at the hands of Man City and Liverpool the last two weeks, but the visit of a side beaten 8-0 last week should provide relief. Unless the Blades do that strange bounce back after a flogging that occasionally happens.
SATURDAY 3PM – WOLVES v MAN CITY
THE STAT/S
Man City have won six straight v Wolves and scored 19 goals in the process. Wolves are 0/2 against big six clubs this season.
OUR PREDICTION
Wolves 0 Man City 4
OUR THOUGHTS
Wolves were beaten by a second string Ipswich Town side in the League Cup midweek. Nuff said. This could be ugly.
SATURDAY 5:30PM – SPURS v LIVERPOOL
THE STAT/S
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 11 League games v Spurs (W8 D3).
OUR PREDICTION
Spurs 2 Liverpool 2
OUR THOUGHTS
What a clash this promises to be. The Spurs love-fest with Ange continues and Liverpool are shaping up to be Man City’s nearest competitor this season.
SUNDAY 2PM – NOTTINGHAM FOREST v BRENTFORD
THE STAT/S
These teams have only met once on a Sunday with Nottingham Forest winning the 1983 League Cup games by 2-0.
OUR PREDICTION
Nottingham Forest 2 Brentford 0
OUR THOUGHTS
Brentford’s form is slightly concerning but are lucky the promoted sides aren’t going very well. In saying that, they are still above Chelsea. Home win here for sure.
MONDAY 8PM – FULHAM v CHELSEA
THE STAT/S
Fulham had the fifth best home record for midweek games last season. Chelsea had the second worst away record. The last three games between Chelsea and Fulham on a Monday ended in a draw. Fulham are equal top of the clean sheet total with Man City this season.
OUR PREDICTION
Fulham 1 Chelsea 1
OUR THOUGHTS
Surely Chelsea can’t sink much lower. Losing to Fulham would certainly not make them popular.
TUESDAY 7:30PM – LUTON v BURNLEY
THE STAT/S
Burnley have won three in a row at Luton Town. Burnley also lead the Tuesday match H2H v Luton by 6-2 (+ 1 Draw).
OUR PREDICTION
Luton 2 Burnley 0
OUR THOUGHTS
Second time is a charm, as this game from GW2 finally sees Luton play at home to Burnley, and both of them need a win in a double game week..
