A Canberra man has celebrated Batman Day with a weekend marathon.
As a lifelong fan of The Dark Knight, Terry spent the weekend watching as much Batman content as possible.
“Batman was the first superhero I really got into. All the other heroes seemed too dumb with all their out-there powers, but Batman was real! He was a normal guy with a bunch of cool gadgets and a hunger for justice. How could I not love him?”
Terry then explained his movie-watching process.
“I included all solo Batman live action films, the solo animated movies, the ’60s TV movie, and put them in a hat. I would then pick out three movies and watch them back-to-back-to-back,” said Terry. “I have them all either on DVD or on streaming, so they’re easy to find.”
“Friday night was Batman Returns, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, and The Lego Batman Movie. Saturday was The Batman, Batman 1966, and Batman: Hush. And Sunday is Batman 1989, Batman Forever, and Batman: Under the Red Hood. It’s a good mix of classics I’ve seen zillions of times and fresher animated ones. And the ’66 movie wasn’t as bad as I remembered.”
Everyday News is a brand new general news/parody section of The Gurgler, and definitely not a lame rip-off of ‘The Betoota Advocate’. We swear.
