Round 24 Stats Summary – Points of Interest
- Round 24 saw the lowest average points scored for the away team this season.
- Newcastle have moved into third for points scored per game since Origin started.
- South Sydney have scored more tries in the last 20 minutes than any other team with 35, one ahead of Brisbane. Canberra are worst with just 13 tries from the 60th minute.
- Four teams are currently on a winning run of five games or more – Brisbane (6), Penrith (7), Warriors (5), Newcastle (6).
- St George Illawarra lost another away game – that’s all 11 away games ending in a loss this season.
- Dolphins loss on Saturday means they now hold the worst winning on Saturday this season (20%)
- Friday’s winners Brisbane (88%) and Sharks (100%) also hold the best Friday record this season. Sharks are also 100% on a Thursday.
- Penrith remain unbeaten v Manly on a Thursday (3/3).
- Going back to 2019, Melbourne have won 13/14 homes games on a Saturday.
- Newcastle are still undefeated on a Sunday this season (7 games). Penrith are the only other team still on a 100% record on Sunday.

Ladder position is based on the ladder position of the opposition before each round starts. For Round 1 we used the final 2022 ladder position. Top eight is any team in the top eight heading into the weekend. Bottom eight is the bottom nine teams, and we forgot to change it from bottom eight in 2022.
