After a week off for the State of Origin and Pacific Tests, it is back to business this weekend. Back to earth for a few of the PNG Hunters who were involved in their national side’s great win over Fiji on Saturday. (Read our Match Summary here) And is other things that are back, the Tigers are back at Langlands Park for the first time this season.
For those who moan about the lack of Sunday rugby league in Brisbane, you have a choice of three fixtures on Sunday around Brisbane with the sun-friendly kick off of 2pm-2:30pm.

The merge of Intrust Super and HostPlus may have seen the competition name change from Intrust Super Cup to HostPlus Cup, but we still have Intrust Super’s former CEO and long time Q Cup fan Brendan O’Farrell joining us for the 2022 season again. He is the multiple reigning champion for our website after all.

PNG Hunters have won five of the six games v Ipswich Jets played on a Saturday.
Although the PNG Hunters have a pretty poor recent record v Brisbane teams on a Saturday. Since 2018 the record is W2 D1 L11.
Ipswich Jets have lost all six home games this season, but did get their first win of 2022 against Souths Logan last round.
Central Capras have never beaten Tweed Heads at home in six games going back to 2014.
Townsville Blackhawks and Souths Logan Magpies have the best record on the road against northern and central Queensland Teams (Pride, Blackhawks, Cutters and Capras). Central Capras have the worst record. Visual is below.
Sunshine Coast Falcons have never beaten Townsville at home on a Saturday in three attempts.
Burleigh Bears last lost on a Saturday away in northern / central Queensland in May 2018. A run of only five games mind you.
Northern Pride have lost four in a row at home to Burleigh/Tweed Heads.
Going back to 2014, Souths Logan are undefeated against the Mackay Cutters in 14 contests. The record is W11 D3.
The Tigers have gone eight games at Langlands Pk without a win over Brisbane opposition. Their last win was April 2019 v Redcliffe.
Tigers are going back to Langlands Pk for the first time this season, so we have a special stat for all teams’ record there since 2014. Devils are actually the leading team just ahead of the Tigers themselves.
