CRYSTAL PALACE v TOTTENHAM – SAT 12:30PM
BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Spurs are yet to concede a goal, however they have the sixth worst Expected Goals Against (4.21). For the record Manchester City has the best at 1.20 and Burnley’s 5.85 is worst.
Spurs have only outscored five teams so far this season.
Crystal Palace will have started their 21-22 EPL season with four straight games v London teams after this weekend. They only won 1/10 last season. Their winless streak including this year and last is 11 games.
Spurs are on a 12 game unbeaten streak against Crustal Palace going back to 2015.

Arsenal were undefeated against promoted teams last season and scored the most goals – 15 in their six games.
Norwich last beat Arsenal in 2012 – nine games ago.
Norwich last won at Arsenal in 1992 – ten games games ago.
Norwich have scored just two goals since their last Premier League which was before the Covid lockdown – which is a 13 game run.
Norwich last took a point v a big six club in the Premier League when they drew with Spurs in Dec 2019. Since then it is eight losses at a combined 25-1.
Five teams have a worse expected goals figure than Norwich’s 2.80. One of them is Arsenal who are last with 1.77.

Man City have won the last six clashes between these on a Saturday anywhere.
Leicester have the third best shots on target to shots ratio this season at 39%. Just behind Everton’s 43% and Spurs’ 44%.
Only Brighton’s Adam Webster has had more touches this season than Leicester’s Soyuncu. Leicester are sixth for overall touches but third worst for touches in the final third.
Leicester are last for chances created this season.
Only Leicester, Aston Villa, Liverpool and Man City ended up with a positive goal difference v Big Six teams last season.

MANCHESTER UTD v NEWCASTLE – SAT 3:00PM
BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Manchester Utd have won five of their last six matches v Newcastle at home (1 Draw) and scored three goals or more for all of those wins.
Newcastle (D4 L8) were the only team not to beat a big six team last season. Despite this they still scored more goals against the big six than Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea.
Newcastle have the second worst expected goals against.
For the record Cristiano Ronaldo has six goals and five assists against Newcastle in 11 games.
Newcastle’s Matt Ritchie is equal third for Key Passes this season.

SOUTHAMPTON v WEST HAM – SAT 3:00PM
BARELY INTERESTING STATS
West Ham are second for expected goals behind Manchester City but are the team with the biggest positive difference between expected goals and goals actually scored.
West Ham have won six of the last seven games v Southampton (+ 1 Draw).
West Ham have won the last four Saturday clashes between these sides by a combined 10-1.
Michail Antonio has had two more shots on target than Crystal Palace.
Craig Dawson has had the shots from inside the six yard box this season than any other player.

WATFORD v WOLVES – SAT 3:00PM
BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Watford-Wolves games at Watford have followed a pattern since 2005 – (Most recent game first ) WAT WOL WAT WOL WAT WOL WAT WOL WAT. So Wolves time then?
Both sides have lost 1-0 to Spurs this season which is their only London fixture so far.
Wolves (45) are currently second for Key Passes behind Liverpool (48) – and are seven clear of Man City in third. Jiminez on 10 is only behind TAA.
Wolves are also third for shots this season so far (57) with Adama Traore and Jiminez both equal third with 12 each. Not bad stats for Wolves considering they have no points and have scored no goals.
Watford ended last season’s Championship with seven wins at home without conceding.

Aston Villa scored 22 points and 22 goals v London teams last season. Their goals scored was third best. Their 20 goals scored in against big six teams last year was second best to Leicester by one goal.
Chelsea had a mixed record v midlands teams last season with the season results at W3 D3 L4.
Aston Villa did draw this fixture at Chelsea last season. Prior to that it was five straight losses. One was 8-0.
Chelsea have outscored Aston Villa 10-1 in their last four Saturday games.

LEEDS v LIVERPOOL – SUN 4:30PM

Liverpool are unbeaten in 10 games v Leeds.
Leeds haven’t beaten at Liverpool since 2000. Liverpool are unbeaten in three games at Leeds on a Sunday (W2 D1)
Liverpool top the league for Chances Created, Key Passes, Shots and Shots on Target.
Leeds (W1 D5) were unbeaten at home to big six sides last season. However their home record against sides in the top six (at time of playing them) was D2 L4.
