NRL Round 12 Tips Alternative – Gurgler v Winter + Barely Interesting Stats

Winter is Coming and so are our Alternative NRL Round 12 Tips for this week.

There are a lot of similarities between the Game Of Thrones – the show famous for our opening three words this week. Both have Dragons, Knights, Horses, Tyrannical Monarchs, Storms, Raiders, Warriors and Dogs. Thankfully the NRL features a lot less incest. Although one does wonder who many sin bins / send offs / reports there would be from just one episode of the show for attacks to the head. There were/are a few Walkers from north of the wall/border but thankfully they aren’t quite as dangerous.

But enough of that for now and onto this week’s tips.

Why not take on board our weekly Alternative NRL Tipping method. You’ve got nothing to lose by coming this far already and it will save you precious time. To maybe rewatch Game of Thrones.

Each week we have a new theme, and occasionally it will have nothing to do with rugby league. Just the way we like it. This week is about each team’s record since 1998 in Winter.

In addition to the tips are a whole bunch of barely interesting stats for the round of NRL ahead. Impress your neighbours, parcel delivery drivers, and fellow passengers by stealing them and sharing.

Good luck with your Alternative NRL Round 12 Tips if you choose to use them.

NRL Round 12 Tips – Barely Interesting Stats EXTRA

OVERALL RECORD FOR EACH NRL TEAM IN  WINTER

It should be no surprise that Melbourne top the winter table, given they are used to cold weather and the Storm have won a lot of games since 1998. Although the 66% is just down on their overall.

EACH TEAM’S BEST AWAY GROUND

Since this week sees the Melbourne Storm take on Brisbane at Suncorp, where they hold an incredible record, we thought we’d find the best away ground for every NRL team.

We have made it a minimum of five away games at each ground to qualify. A lot of these teams have better away records than the home side does.

Four of the 16 teams have a Wests Tigers home ground as their best away venue.

EACH TEAM’S WORST AWAY GROUND

For balance we may as well see the other side of the away form.

A lot of teams don’t like Melbourne. And Melbourne don’t like the Showground in Sydney. Perhaps the Broncos should play their games v Melbourne out of the Ekka Showgrounds.

Strangely the Sea Eagles don’t like WIN Stadium which is right on the sea.

Souths’ dedication to losing to Melbourne in Victoria is admirable.

A surprise that a slippery Eel doesn’t fare well in Canberra.

And given the travel involved, no wonder New Zealand are 0/6 in Perth.
