How our Premier League Fixtures Difficulty Rating works….
S&C Sports Data have data from 10 seasons of Premier League, and created a measure of each team’s head to head record over that period, on a sliding scale from current day backwards.
Then the team in question and the opposition’s overall and recent form is taken into consideration, including measuring the relative form of the two sides.
The Match Rater 3000 score is then produced, with a range of 1 being the easiest possible fixture up to 10 for the hardest.
So the S&C measure combines many fields to give an overall picture for the next three games.
But there’s plenty more than the next three games, so read on.
Week 33 Premier League Fixtures Difficulty Rating
- Three of the bottom four sides are in the red with bad fixtures – all away to Liverpool, Manchester Utd, and Chelsea. At least Southampton are at home. Although just after Man City had dismantled champions Liverpool.
- Norwich have a winnable game, but they’d better start soon otherwise the Championship isn’t far away.
- In form United get the easiest game at the moment, home to Bournemouth.
- Liverpool have a good chance to bounce back at home to Villa, who concede a lot of goals.
- Those FPL players with a Free Hit should consider using it this week. Top sides against bottom sides at home, points a plenty await, if your players match the pitch.
