One of the big sporting stories in Australia over the past few months has been the NRL’s attempts to get back on the field this weekend, and the various groups of people who have tried to stop the breaking out of the NRL Coronavirus lockdown.
Be it breaking social distancing measures, then lying about it, or broadcasters throwing toys out of the pram, players refusing to get a needle, referees, Todd Greenberg incompetence, State Governments, Federal Governments, talking heads on morning TV, terrible rugby league journalists, tedious moaning from players and former players, and the virus itself, there has been plenty of different ways the rugby league community has tried to stop itself coming out of the NRL Coronavirus lockdown.
Essentially, you were giving rugby league another off season, and we all know how that usually goes….
But despite all of the above, football will start this Thursday, and with the Broncos on a Thursday of course, giving the fan exactly what they want.
Effectively, the NRL has succeeded in part in spite of itself, and the other part thanks to Peter V’Landys. One could only imagine how the previous Peter would have handled it.
So to celebrate the upcoming on field action, and say good riddance to the off field shite, we offer up a NRL Coronavirus lockdown Sunday Quiz special.
