Sporting mascots are the unsung heroes of any sporting organisation. Whether it is entertaining the fans who aren’t quite interested, providing many marketing opportunities, or taking the occasional beating from kids for comic value.
Like in any form of sport, some are really good, memorable for years after their prime, and become almost bigger than the team/sport they were originally a part of.
And other are really bad. Either so super pissweak that it looks amateur, or having was created by some far-too-clever former art student.
