Wondering which Premier League side has the easiest or hardest set of upcoming fixtures? Well allow us to present our Week 25 Premier League Fixtures Difficulty Rating.
Proud partners of The Gurgler – S&C Sports Data – have come up with a measure to judge the difficulty factor for each team over the next three games. Not just with current table position, but historical results and more.
We could go further, but we think three games provides just enough window for FPL players, late night sports fans in Australia and around the world, or multi loving gamblers alike.
How our Premier League Fixtures Difficulty Rating works….
S&C Sports Data have data from 10 seasons of Premier League, and created a measure of each team’s head to head record over that period, on a sliding scale from current day backwards.
Then the team in question and the opposition’s overall and recent form is taken into consideration, including measuring the relative form of the two sides.
The Match Rater 3000 score is then produced, with a range of 1 being the easiest possible fixture up to 10 for the hardest.
So the S&C measure combines many fields to give an overall picture for the next three games.

Upcoming Three Game Rating
- Mixed results for teams down the bottom facing relegation. West Ham got within sniffing distance of the bottom three, and now have the hardest group of fixtures over the next three weeks. This doesn’t include the match against Liverpool.
- Brighton have a decent run to turn things around.
- Bournemouth won last time out against Brighton, but wasted their good run of easy fixtures to a degree.
- Sheffield United appear to have an easier run of fixtures, good news for FPL players with loads of Blades cheapies.
- Wolves and Leicester have tougher runs than usual.

Which team in Overperforming / Underperforming against our Difficulty Rating?
We have gone back through our difficulty ratings so far this season, and worked out the potential points each team could have scored, and then have a comparison ready for mild interest.
Our predictions were a little hard on Newcastle and Southampton, but no surprise that Sheffield Utd are out-performing our predictions. Watford and Aston Villa have turned it around too.
Down the other end, our data clearly shows that we think Chelsea were much better than they actually are this year, but some north London and Manchester clubs are underperforming with our measure too.
