- All about Spurs after their big management change during the week. We’ll go into some potential Spurs movements below.
- Manchester City v Chelsea is the big game and second real test for Chelsea since their opening day 4-0 loss to Man Utd. With Abraham being a major FPL player in a lot of sides (including ours) will he continue the goal scoring against the tougher opponents.
- Potential injury concerns – Ederson, Salah, Maddison for starters.
- Will the Vardy party roll on.
- Talking of parties, can the qualification of Finland for the Euros lead into good things for Pukki and Norwich.
- We think Watford are ready to turn the corner, and two winnable games are on offer. We are keen on Gerard Deulofeu.

Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview GameWeek 13 – Captain Choices

Add the scores together and you get our Final Score. And for our thoughts below.
WE SAY YES
Vardy party time.
The Spurs duo might be worth a shout for difference from everyone else.
Aguero has a quality strike rate v Chelsea, but will he start, and what use will be be.
Salah and Mane might be obvious choices, but Crystal Palace do make things tight at home.
WE SAY NO
Sterling is a worry, despite his place in our Captain’s pick table. One wonders if there is still a hangover after his recent scuffle in England Training.
Aubameyang – who can trust Arsenal?
Anyone from Chelsea..
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview – Difficulty Factor
We have previous released a new method of determining the difficulty of each team’s games. Based on last year’s form, table position, relative form to opposition, and head to head record, we have a score of 1 (Easy to 10 (Hard). Just a more customised score than the official FPL one.

Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview GameWeek 13 – Special (One) Stats
SPURS KEY PLAYERS
Jose Mourinho is coming to Spurs as they might have a few players ripe for picking.
Both Kane and Son have great records v their next two opponents as below. Although there is a drop off when they play Man Utd in three weeks time.
That’s great news for any FPL players who have persisted with Harry Kane and co this season.
We have a few stats below for the next four games, and there’s plenty of scoring and assisting between Kane and Son the next two weeks. Further on we supply a few key data fields from this FPL season. It may not show that Spurs have under achieved this season, but it does show that stats for Son aren’t too far behind Harry Kane, and with the difference in cost, he may be the best option to bring in if there is any inclination towards ading Spurs players.
For the record, we’re bringing in Son.
UNDERPERFORMERS / OVERPERFORMERS
Every year there will be Emporers of Disappointment and Kings of the Surprise and this season has proven no different.
A quick and nasty way of checking this our check of total points against cost.
No surprise a certain Sheffield United “defender” leads the way for top value. He is joined by a few team mates. Our friend Kevin de Bruyne is one of the big names in the over achievers.
Down the other end of the boat are the under achievers. To determine this we did the same math, but set a minimum of 20 FPL points scored.
A Spurs players tops that list, but for how long. Eh Jose?
WATFORD ON THE RISE
Watford looked busted arse and a certainty for the drop not long ago, but watching their games you got the feeling that things weren’t that bad. And they are starting to turn things around, and their first win against Norwich last gameweek helps.
They could be a source of FPL gold, and a great differential.
Below we have a few quick graphs, but our suggestions are two fold. One is forward , the other is their defence.
Deulofeu has some decent stats, and looked very good against Norwich. Below is a graph which compares Deulofeu in some key stats against the average of the top ten FPL forwards in the same fields. They do stack up nicely in most areas. You get the feeling the goals will come, and that Southampton fixture looks a real good chance to do it.
Their defence has gone a little unnoticed, they have conceded the second fewest goals in the last five games, only behind the sharp Blades. They have a couple of easier games coming up too, with Burnley at home (Burnley have scored one away goal in their last two matches) and Southampton at home is the easiest fixture of all lately. Janmaat and Cathcart are regular starters and cost just 4.4, with form of 6.0 and 4.2 respectively and the promise of more on the horizon, it is a great time to get one on board.
LEICESTER MIDFIELD
Leicester are the team at the moment, and their midfield is at the heart of that. So if you can’t which one (or two) of their midfield to take for their upcoming easy run of games, then this might help you decide.
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview GameWeek 13 – Comings and Goings
Want to know who is the most popular player overall? Or the highest pick per team? Or the most popular team? Or who changed ownership the most? And what about price changes?
We say it’s an FPL buffet, and help yourself. Data up to date as of Friday.
TOP 20 PLAYERS SELECTED
Tammy Abraham remains top of the charts, but will he be abandoned once the harder fixtures for Chelsea kick in.
Lundstram features highly, and surprisingly so does van Dijk. His cost enticing more that the more expensive point scoring Liverpool defenders. Pukki is holding on in the top 20.
The second graph is the movements with this top 20 group. Leicester players are all the rage. FPL players dropping Mount seems a little impatient though.
THIS WEEK’S TOP INS AND OUTS
As above Vardy is on the move. Leicester players are popular which is no surprise. “Defender” Lundstrum continues to defy the original FPL ranking. And American wonderkid Pulisic has started scored big points for Chelsea too.
Norwich are on the nose and heading to the bottom of players selected by, but no team is on the nose like Man City. They have six of the bottom 20 for most moved players out.
FPL OWNERSHIP BY TEAM
Want to know which team supplies the most FPL players, the answer won’t surprise. Liverpool are on top as the most popular team, but both them and Man City are dropping off as total ownership. Leicester are gaining in popularity. The second graph below shows the progress from first week to the last two.
