Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 12 – Watchlist
- Liverpool v Manchester City is the big game, but big games usually mean drab, boring draws, and few FPL points. So we’ve exlcuded players from either team for Captain suggestions this month. But these two sides are the most popular when it comes to players selected (check our graph in the below) and have some big stars. but who do you keep/take of De Bruyne, Sterling, Salah and Mane? Well stay tuned for some stats that may help.
- Leicester v Arsenal is a game of choice for all the new Leicester converts. Jamie Vardy has eight goals in eight games against them, and they have 3-0 and 3-1 in their last two homes games v Arsenal. Liecester has a midfield rich in talent and points. We outline who’s doing what further on.
- Injuries are starting to mount up as the season becomes clogged. The worst injury goes to Everton’s Andres Gomes, who all hope will recover well. But from an urgent FPL view, Mason Mount and Man City goalkeeper are the main worries. We think Ederson will play, and think Mount probably will.
- Can Spurs turn their season around starting at home on Saturday to Sheffield Utd? The team with the second most clean sheets? At least it is not at Brammall Lane where Spurs haven’t won since 1976.
- Friday night kick off is primed to catch a few FPL players out. It’s worth a watch too, as we reckon Watford are going to turn a corner soon. As for Norwich, there’s always a Pukki party, but sadly more party goers are abandoning the Pukki shindig.
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 12 – Captain Choices
Below we have three lots of data – Player history v Team, FPL Points from this season per minute, current FPL Form, and a measure from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings published earlier this week.
Add the scores together and you get our Final Score. And for our thoughts below.
WE SAY YES
Vardy party time.
Although, Aubameyang isn’t a bad shout either.
Our stats say Rashford and Kane, who could rely on them in current form.
Tammy Abraham might be low on our list, but he is definitely an option we are considering. Although Chelsea have only scored 7 of the their 25 goals at home this season.
WE SAY NO
Man City or Liverpool players, so haven’t included them. Time for a left field option.
Aubameyang – who can trust Arsenal?
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview – Difficulty Factor
We have previous released a new method of determining the difficulty of each team’s games. Based on last year’s form, table position, relative form to opposition, and head to head record, we have a score of 1 (Easy to 10 (Hard). Just a more customised score than the official FPL one.
Our measure below is for the next three games to give you a little more term thinking.

BIG FOUR STATS

For the record we enjoy KDB too much to sell, and can only afford one of the other three.

Every year there will be Emporers of Disappointment, and this season has proven no different.
But are the stats lying? And for any of our players below is there something that points to future success.

TOP 20 PLAYERS SELECTED
Vardy is the big mover in this bunch again, joined by the few who didn’t already own Lundstrum. Maddison and Mane popular too.
Two strikers are on the nose – Pukki and Aguero. At least Pukki is guaranteed game time. Two of Liverpool’s best from last year (Salah and van Dijk) are being dropped too.
THIS WEEK’S TOP INS AND OUTS
As above Vardy is on the move. And Leicester players are popular which is no surprise. “Defender” Lundstrum continues to defy the original FPL ranking. And American wonderkid Pulisic has started scored big points for Chelsea too.
Norwich are on the nose and heading to the bottom of players selected by,
FPL OWNERSHIP BY TEAM
Want to know which team supplies the most FPL players, the answer won’t surprise. Although it was only last week where Man City took over as the most popular. Now Liverpool are back on top as the most popular team. Leicester are gaining in popularity.
