We have already unleashed our official Premier League weekend preview with tips based on each team’s performance after the second International break, but that doesn’t stop us sharing our thoughts with a Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview too for this round.
Sit back for the Fantasy Premier League FPL Gameweek 11 Preview, with all the trimmings.
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 11 – Watchlist
- Will Manchester City punish Southampton? Many people think that a 9-0 will never happen again, especially since Southampton put up a decent effort against Man City in the League Cup. We’re not so sure, predicting at least 7-0 to Man City. That will allow FPL superstars KDB, Sterling, Silva/s to run wild.
- The worry is who Pep will pick if he thinks he can get away with resting a few stars. Pep appears to hate FPL.
- How will Leicester back up last weekend at the home of the league equally best defensive home side.
- Is the Pukki party officially over?
- Brighton are a team to watch, with quality options in all positions, especially Gross whoreturned to form with a thunderous free kick last weekend.
- We’re predicting that Watford-Chelsea will be 2-2 and that Watford are the team to watch for bargains.
- Will the scoring spree in recent Spurs v Everton games continue?
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 11 – Captain Choices
Below we have three lots of data – Player history v Team, FPL Points from this season per minute, current FPL Form, and a measure from our Fixture Difficulty Ratings published earlier this week.
Add the scores together and you get our Final Score. And for our thoughts below.
WE SAY YES
De Bruyne or Sterling are always great choices, especially against Southampton at home. Will will the FPL troll that is Pep play them?
What about Son, who has a tremendous record against Everton, and is due.
There’s always a Vardy party, but his record v Crystal Palace isn’t great, and they are the hardest home defence to beat this season.
Rashford is a shout to be different.
WE SAY NO
Aguero – who knows if he will play or not with looming European action.
Aubameyang – who can trust Arsenal?
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview – Difficulty Factor
We have previous released a new method of determining the difficulty of each team’s games. Based on last year’s form, table position, relative form to opposition, and head to head record, we have a score of 1 (Easy to 10 (Hard). Just a more customised score than the official FPL one.
Our measure below is for the next three games to give you a little more term thinking.

Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 11 – Special Stats
LEICESTER MIDFIELD
With Leicester tearing up the record books last weekend with their big 9-0 away win, Jamie Vardy becomes an obvious FPL player to bring in. If you’re six weeks behind us that is. But although he did score a hat trick, a lot of the good work from coming from the midfield, which it has done so all season.
So, we suggest that there should be one Leicester midfielder included in every team. But which one? Catch our stats below to help you make you choice.
For the record we have James Maddison, but are worried he is playing too deep. And Tielemans is our other man.
VALUE STRIKERS
Following on from everyone picking up Jamie Vardy, some FPL sides may have to balance their books with a cheap, good striker.
Once again we put a few select options up against each other with a bunch of key stats.
Pukki sadly is on the nose, as Norwich look busted arse. Which is a shame as we miss the phrase Pukki Party.
For the record we really like Maupay, but the stats below show any of them are all good.
Fantasy Premier League FPL Preview Gameweek 11 – Comings and Goings
Want to know who is the most popular player overall? Or the highest pick per team? Or the most popular team? Or who changed ownership the most? And what about price changes?
We say it’s an FPL buffet, and help yourself. Data up to date as of Friday.
TOP 20 PLAYERS SELECTED
Vardy is the big mover in this bunch, and even more people jump on the KDB express.
Two strikers are on the nose – Pukki and Aguero. At least Pukki is guaranteed game time.
THIS WEEK’S TOP INS AND OUTS
Should they stay of should they go now?
That’s the question these graphs answer.
No surprise to Vardy the most traded mule this week. Chilwell too, who was outstanding against Southampton.
Pukki is the opposite. Any team that makes Man Utd look good is struggling.
Some big names in the outs too, as people lose faith in Salah, van Dijk, and Pep’s selections.
FPL OWNERSHIP BY TEAM
Want to know which team supplies the most FPL players, the answer won’t surprise. Although it was only last week where Man City took over as the most popular.
