After another high quality midweek International interruption, the Premier League is back to liven up the weekends and once again we have our Premier League Predictions Week 10 ready.
Each game week we bring our unique look at the EPL with our mini preview, and our Premier League Predictions Week 10.
But anyone can offer up predictions. So each week we will put our Premier League predictions up against a guest tipster, but not necessarily a person, but based on a statistic or ridiculous idea which has varying links to football. It’s very much like BBC’s Lawro vs Somebody preview, but better. Arguably.
Like this week, for our Premier League Predictions Week 10 we put our selections up against tips based on which manager we think would win in a fight against the other, in honour of the touchline scuffle from last weekend at Chelsea.
Premier League Predictions Week 10 – Gurgler v Fighting Managers
Opponent Tips Background: One of the biggest talking points of Premier League Week 9 was the push and shove on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge. So we thought we’d use that talking point as a way to make opposition tips.
This one is very simple and subjective according to us. We compare the managers, and whichever manager we think would win a touchline bout gets the tip. Some proved too hard one way or another, so that ends up a draw. Feel free to argue against our boxing selections in the comments section. And enjoy our best of Touchline disputes from Youtube.
But first, our Premier League Predictions. Which we’ve given ourselves another dreaded full confidence of The Gurgler board after a dismal 4/10 last week.

Premier League Predictions Week 10 Quick Mini Preview
GAME BY GAME PREVIEW IN 25 WORDS OR LESS – SAVING YOU TIME
BRIGHTON v WOLVES
Wolves lost just their second game of the season, one many were expecting them to win against Fulham. Brighton won their first game of the season in Newcastle last weekend, which we’re still not sure if that was a surprise or not. Both teams have an identical 2-1-1 record home and away respectively. Glenn Murray is the key for the home side (and our FPL team) with his scoring exploits.
FULHAM v BOURNEMOUTH
Fulham have almost been the biggest disappointment of the Premier League season so far, so much promise had eventuated into so many conceded goals. They are on track to let in 106 for the season. Bournemouth are this season’s feelgood underdog story, still in sixth place and just four points behind the big teams. Hopes for plenty of goals, if not a Fulham win.
LIVERPOOL v CARDIFF
Good weekend for Cardiff last week as they scored their first win, jumped from last to out of relegation, and doubled their current season tally of goals. And their opponent this weekend defeated one of their rivals for the drop. Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Huddersfield was several fewer than most thought, and one wonders about their form in general as they embark on a tough run of fixtures.
SOUTHAMPTON v NEWCASTLE
Here are two clubs many probably think are too big for the drop but aren’t looking very good at the moment. Newcastle did have an excuse of playing five of the top six already this season, but that wore out last weekend going down to Brighton at home. Southampton were our tip for value relegation at the start of the season, and nothing we’ve seen has changed our mind.
WATFORD v HUDDERSFIELD
Many thought Watford would revert to usual and go on a steady drift down the table after their spectacular start, their three losses in four before beating Wolves on the weekend were evidence of that. It still might happen, but the win at Wolves shows they still have plenty to offer, something they’ve shown against a lot of the big teams already this season. Huddersfield looked doomed right now, and only a change of manager or significant change in personnel can see that changing.
LEICESTER v WEST HAM
This will probably one of the more entertaining games of the weekend, a scrap between two lower midfield teams who should both be doing a little better. Both teams are only a two or three game losing streak from sacking their manager.
BURNLEY v CHELSEA
Burnley were not as bad as the 5-0 might look against Manchester City, an early Red Card to Vincent Kompany could have changed the game. Although given the quality of the City goals, probably not still. Whilst Chelsea, and in particulr Eden Hazard, aren’t quite as good away from home, they are still 3/4 and will probably win this.
CRYSTAL PALACE v ARSENAL
The first of four massive games against big sides for Crystal Palace, which will determine if their slow start against the weaker sides is just a slow start or they are genuine relegation candidates. We say they are great relegation value as part of our wrap up of the weekend’s action. Arsenal are the form team of the competition, on a winning streak of seven league games. Fans are happy, players are happy. Everyone is happy. Except for Spurs fans who are behind Arsenal.
MANCHESTER UNITED v EVERTON
It could have been so much different had United held on for a win against Chelsea, but it wasn’t and now after Juventus handed them a Champions League lesson, they are reaching must win territory if they want to even think of top four. Everton are finding some decent form with three wins in a row. Although Everton don’t Manchester United very often. Eight times in 52 Premier League games.
SPURS v MANCHESTER CITY
The game of the weekend in terms of league position, playing style, and prestige. Manchester City were glorious last weekend against Burnley, and pretty good indeed in the Champions League against Shakhtar Donetsk. Perhaps they will run away with the title after all. Spurs have a real chance to dent those hopes this weekend, and are on a decent run of four wins also. Spurs have one less day to prepare, but didn’t have to travel over most of Europe to play in the midweek Champions League.
