Barely Interesting Premier League Stats Week 28

NFO v MCI – Man City are unbeaten for their last five v Nottingham Forest (W4 D1) and v Forest at the City Ground (W3 D2). Nottingham Forest have a good record v big six clubs this season at W3 D3 L2. Man City’s record v the current top six sides is W4 D2 L3.

BHA v FUL – Fulham are undefeated in nine matches v Brighton (W5 D4). Three of the last four games between these sides at Brighton have ended in a draw. Brighton’s record against fellow middle eight sides is W5 D2 L2, Fulham’s is W3 D2 L4. Fulham have won three away games in a row.

CRY v IPS – The last time these two sides met in the league at Crystal Palace, the home side won 5-0. Two of Ipswich’s three wins have come v London sides and their record overall is W2 D2 L5. Crystal Palace’s record v promoted sides is W3 D1.

LIV v SOU – Liverpool have won 11 of their last 13 games v Southampton, with a draw and a loss the other results. There have been four or more goals scored in the last three games between these sides. Liverpool have won seven games in a row on a Saturday v Southampton, who have failed to score in five of those games. Liverpool are 4/4 for games v promoted sides. Southampton have lost all eight games v big six clubs and conceded 27 goals.

BRE v AVL – There have been six draws in the last 13 games between these sides. The last five games on a Saturday have ended in a draw. Aston Villa are 16th for away games this season and have scored only four more points away than Ipswich. Brentford are still 7th for home record this season despite winning none of their last six home games (D2 L4).

WOL v EVE – Wolves are unbeaten in five Saturday games v Everton (W3 D2). Wolves’ record v bottom six teams is W2 L3, Everton’s is W3 D2 L1. 

TOT v BOU – Spurs have won 6/7 games v Bournemouth at home. Spurs have won all four Sunday games v Bournemouth and by a combined 15-2. Bournemouth have yet to beat a London club away (D1 L2). Bournemouth’s record v big six clubs this season is W4 D1 L3. Spurs are unbeaten in four home games v middle eight sides (W3 D1).

CHE v LEI – Chelsea’s record v promoted clubs is W3 L1. Leicester’s record v big six clubs is W1 D1 L6. Chelsea have won their last five league games v Chelsea. Chelsea have los. t just one of the 11 games v Leicester on a Sunday (W5 D5 L1). 

MUN v ARS – Arsenal have won four league games in a row v Man Utd and five of the last six v Man Utd on a Sunday. Arsenal (W2 D4) are undefeated on a Sunday this season. Man Utd have played the second most games on a Sunday this season and have a record of W4 D4 L7. Man Utd’s record v big six clubs this season is W1 D2 L4, Arsenal are undefeated (W4 D3).

WHU v NEW – Newcastle are unbeaten in their last five trips to West Ham (W3 D2). West Ham fight back on a Monday though with W4 D1 from their last five at home to Newcastle. West Ham (W2 D1 L1). Newcastle’s London road trip record this season is W1 D1 L3.
