It’s time for the first midweek batch of games and we have our shortened midweek special on offer.  Talking of which, we’re letting the midweek special shine a light on our Premier League Predictions Week 14.

Each gameweek in the Premier League in 2024-25 we offer up a stat filled prediction preview, with some barely interesting stats and visuals, just enough to bluff your way through various tipping competitions or betting shops.

Barely Interesting Premier League Stats Week 14

For below stats we are using Monday to Thursday as midweek games.

IPS v CRY – Ipswich have won 8/9 games at home v Crystal Palace on a Tuesday. Ipswich were also undefeated in 15 midweek games in the Championship last season (W10 D5). Crystal Palace lost 50% of their games (W3 D2 L5).

LEI v WHU – Leicester lost just one midweek game in the Championship last season (W12 D3 L1). West Ham were one of just two unbeaten midweek clubs last season (W3 D). Leicester have won three midweek clashes in a row v West Ham and four of the last five at home.

MCI v NFO – Man City have won four straight home league games v Nottingham Forest by a combined 12-0. Man City’s midweek record last season was W7 L1 while Forest’s was W2 D1 L2.

NEW v LIV – Liverpool last lost to Newcastle in 2015, a run of 15 matches in the league without defeat (W11 D4). It was 2003 for the last midweek Newcastle win v Liverpool. Liverpool’s midweek record last season was W6 D1 L1 and Newcastle’s was W1 D1 L5

SOT v CHE – Southampton did the double over Chelsea the last time they were both in the Premier League. Chelsea’s midweek record last season was W8 L3 with all three losses coming away from home. Southampton had the worst midweek returns last season of the three promoted sides – W5 D3 L5.

EVE v WOL – Wolves are undefeated in six games v Everton (W5 D1). Wolves’ midweek record last season was W2 D2 L4 and Everton’s W2 D3 L2. Everton have won the last two clashes v Wolves in midweek.

ARS v MUN – Arsenal are undefeated in their last six home games v Man Utd (W5 D1). Man Utd are one of only four teams this season to have lost all their games v big six clubs so far. Arsenal’s midweek record last season was W6 L1. Man Utd’s was W5 L2.

AVL v BRE – Aston Villa have never lost at home to Brentford (W3 D7). Brentford are one of just three teams not to win away from home this season (D1 L5). Aston Villa won just one midweek game last season (W1 D1 L3) and Brentford didn’t win any (D1 L6).

FUL v BHA – Fulham are undefeated in their last eight games v Brighton (W4 D4). Fulham have lost only one of 13 midweek matches v Brighton (W8 D4 L1). Half of Brighton’s midweek games last season ended in a draw (W2 D4 L2) while over half of Fulham’s midweek games were losses (W2 D1 L4).

BOU v TOT – Spurs did the double over Bournemouth last season. Bournemouth (W5 D1) were one of two teams to not lose a midweek games last season. Spurs never won a midweek gamed last season (D1 L2).
