The Gurgler does like to use some obscure drivers in our Race previews and report, so who better to use than Teo Fabi to determine a race rating system.
So before each race we give a rating out of ten for four key category that are loosely based on each letter of Teo Fabi’s surname. Don’t know who Teo Fabi is, you should.
FAST? 5 / 10 – It’s got a long straight, and the organisers have ironed out some of the really annoying kinks and slow parts. And it looks good in the time slot, but it’s not necessarily known for speed.
ACTION? 7 / 10 – It certainly can be, with a few good overtaking spots with DRS and the close proximity of the walls. But then there are other Grands Prix where the life has been sucked out of it.
BIG HISTORY? – 5 / 10 – Being the last Grand Prix it has certainly had some big moments deciding various titles. It was also the home of the most controversial moment of the last decade where Lewis Hamilton lost the World Championship to Max Verstappen under questionable stewarding. A look at last weekend in Qatar gives one little confidence it has improved.
INCLEMENT WEATHER? – 2 /10 The Weather Channel says no chance of rain, and temperatures in the high 20’s.
RACE POTENTIAL RATING 43% – It’s the last race which tends to see excitement and action. Sometimes though, it is dull too.
