FOOTBALL | 2024-25 Premier League Predictions Week 12

Thank god another international break is over and we can have a few months of proper football. Not that we don’t love the World Cup when it gets here, but international football in between feels meaningless.  Talking of meaningless, here are our Premier League Predictions Week 12 which if you don’t follow the barely interesting facts that go along with them, you’re doing yourself some football following harm.

Each gameweek in the Premier League in 2024-25 we offer up a stat filled prediction preview, with some barely interesting stats and visuals, just enough to bluff your way through various tipping competitions or betting shops.

Barely Interesting Premier League Stats Week 12

Here you’ll find the choicest cuts of barely interesting stats on offer for every fixture this gameweek. Some may assist your tipping, others are barely worth a grunt. Either way, they are all yours.

LEI v CHE – Chelsea are the only team not to play a promoted side yet this season. Only three teams have yet to beat any London sides this season – Leicester, Southampton, Wolves. Leicester did beat Chelsea at home in the League three games ago. However at Leicester on a Saturday the record is Chelsea five wins and a draw, with Leicester’s last win coming in 2001.

BOU v BHA – Brighton’s 2.5 average points per game against teams in the middle eight (at time of match) is the best return for all Premier League clubs this season. Bournemouth and Brighton both average 15 shots per game which is equal fourth best.

ARS v NFO – Wins went with the home side last season. Arsenal are unbeaten in 13 home games v Nottingham Forest (W9 D4). Arsenal have won their last three home games on a Saturday v  Nottingham Forest with a last Forest win coming in 1989. Nottingham Forest are one of only four clubs not to lose v top six opposition (at time of match) this season (W1 D2). The others are Liverpool (W4 D1), Man City (W3 D1) and Arsenal (W1 D4).

EVE v BRE – Everton are unbeaten in their last four v Brentford (W3 D1). Everton lead the H2H v Brentford at Everton on a Saturday by six wins to one. Brentford are one of only three teams with a 100% record v bottom six clubs this season. Liverpool and Man City are the other two.

AVL v CRY – Crystal Palace have already won at Aston Villa this season, in the League Cup. In the league Aston Villa are unbeaten in seven at home v Crystal Palace (W5 D2). Aston Villa have lost on ly one of 12 games at home to Crystal Palace on a Saturday. Aston Villa are W3 D1 v bottom six sides. Aston Villa have lost their only home game v London clubs this season so far.

FUL v WOL – Fulham are W1 D2 v bottom six clubs this season. Wolves are D1 L3 v London clubs this season. Wolves have the lowest expected goals this season.

MCI v TOT – It’s goals galore and few Man City wins than you’d expect from the last five games between Spurs and Man City in Manchester – the H2H record is Man City 2 Spurs 1 Draw 2 for a return of 24 goals. If you go back to the last 14 games at Man City v Spurs, the average goals scored per game is 4.5. The record v big six clubs this season is Man City 1 draw vs Spurs 1 win 1 loss. Man City is one of only four teams left that haven’t lost at home this season. The other three are Arsenal, Brighton and Brentford.

SOT v LIV – Liverpool (W4 D1 L1) have won four of the last six games at Southampton. Liverpool have lost just one of the last 13 v Southampton anywhere. Liverpool have won only won of the last five games v Southampton on a Sunday (W1 D3 L1). Liverpool’s record on a Sunday this season is W3 D1. Southampton are yet to play on Sunday.

IPS v MUN – Ipswich have a decent record at home v Man Utd, with a W2 D1 L1 record. Man Utd have won all three games played v Ipswich on a Sunday, the last game was in 1994. Man Utd are 2/2 v promoted sides so far this season. Ipswich’s record v big six clubs is two losses and one magnificent victory v Spurs last time out.

NEW v WHU – Newcastle (W2 D3) are unbeaten in their last five v West Ham. There have been 30 goals scored in the last seven games between these sides in Newcastle. Newcastle have a decent W3 D1 L1 record on a Sunday this season. West Ham are 1/1 for wins.
