As ever there were star performances, work horses giving it their all, and the Broncos returning to their best. But which players were the best of the best you ask? We’ll let the stats do the talking and separate the Wheat/Chaff to present the 2024 NRL Round 7 Team of the Week & Player Stats.
First we have our Team of the Week, which takes some of the key player stats from the weekend and using various scoring methods come up with the best players in their positions from the latest round of the NRL.

On top of the best starting 13, we include the best four interchange players of the week. Seeing who has provided maximum impact from the bench.

Here is a quick look at the H2H Player stats from the most recent round in key positions.
This week we look and fullbacks as ever, and the best of the halves.
INTERESTING STATS FROM THIS ROUND
- Isaiya Katoa set a new weekly record for most combined Try Assists and Line Break Assists. Four of the top 11 players for weekly combined Assists came from Round 7.
- Three of the top four players for Run Metres this week came from losing sides. Including the top two both from the Warriors, who were well beaten.
- Broncos man mountain Xavier Willison topped the Post Contact Metres and was second for Run Metres for players from the bench.
- Jack Bostock’s four line breaks topped the week and doubled his previous single match round best.
- Charnze Nicholl-Klokstad is averaging 28.0 runs per game. Dylan Edwards is next best with 23.3. Tohu Harris is the leading forward on 20.9 runs per game.
- Latrell Mitchell still leads the Line Break Assists per game stat.
- Ben Hunt’s 13 season try assists is nearly double the next best of seven from Chad Townsend.
