A new NRL season is just around the corner, but you don’t have to wait until March for the competition to start, as we open up the competition on each team’s jerseys for the new season with the Gurgler’s 2024 NRL Jerseys Ranked.
NRL Jerseys are big business, especially given the amount they charge for one and that most teams bring out four to five a season.
As ever we found an expert to give us a hand, calling in Gurgler fashion consultant Anne Dover, who found fame as wardrobe consultant for the infamous Greg Norman photo shoot for ESPN’s 2018 10th Anniversary Body Issue.
And as ever The Gurgler has come up with an over-the-top way of getting the 2024 NRL Jerseys Ranked, so enjoy.

THREE CATEGORIES EXPLAINED
Our sporting fashion expert explains the three categories used to determine the 2023 NRL Jersey of the Year.
FIRST IMPRESSION – How does the jersey look at first glance, it is a yeah or a meh or a bleh? (10 = Wow, Take All My Money – 1 = Ugh, Give It Back)
CLASSIC NOD – Does the jerseys have a nod to the best past jerseys for each club. We are always a bit nostalgic. (5 = Graeme Hughes – 1 = Ray Hadley on Ch9)
EXTERNAL INFLUENCE – Does this look like the Marketing Department have had too big a say? Or too many public focus groups? Or is the main sponsor logo a big eyesore? (5 = No Influence/Right Sponsor – 1 = 7News Poll/Billboard)
Great nod to the past, with simple clean lines. Great away alternative. But that new logo kicks arse.
Like the team itself, the 2024 jersey is another winner. Just the right amount of everything. Panthers are also brave enough to wear pink, making it a colour of their own. Might need to add a fourth strip next season for their fourth straight title.
The logo still seems a little big and out of place, and the main jersey is OK, but our favourite of all the 2024 NRL jerseys at first glance was the Warriors away jersey.
The home jersey is still disappointingly the same as last year, with the sand colour way to prominent. Same for the away jersey, but it is even worse. A real wasted opportunity. Not so for the alternative jersey which actually debuted in the final round of last season. It looked good then, and still looks good now, and is a winner.
The interchangeable home and away works like it always does, and the traditional colours and stripes are hard to imagine the Rabbitohs changing from. Just as it is hard to imagine Jack Wighton in a Rabbitohs jersey.
Classic look, not too over the top. The continuing Steggles sponsorship is appropriate and sort-of clever.
Nothing wrong with the regular blue jersey for the Sharks, but their alternative black shirt is magic.
Preferred last year’s if it is different or our brain doesn’t work as good. Great swapping of colours in the home v away.
Both home and away jerseys are good, but the logo spoils the party a little.
Love the old school feel of the Canberra home jersey and the away is also growing on us. But the green colour doesn’t feel quite right. They need to go back and do a Bunnings colour match to the 1990’s era jersey.
Not much you can do with a white jersey with a big red V on it, and a dull squad and overrated head coach. But that is exactly what the Dragons have done.
Looks good enough, but the yellow stripe looks like it has been hand sewed. Maybe it has been.
Tis a fine Golf Shirt with a real 18 holes at Keperra on the weekend feel about it, but looks very meh going into the new season.
Like their hopes for the 2024 NRL season on the pitch, the Tigers are looking to avoid last place. The Tigers’ jerseys are a little dull though, and we expect many of them in 2024. Hopefully they’ve learned from last year’s Anzac Day kit.
Unlike the Dolphins jersey, the Titans one needs more sand. Or more something. And less logo.
You’d think between the Cowboys nickname and the North Queensland location they could come up with something a little bit different or more interesting.
Genuinely looks bad enough to be one of those cheap rip-off jobs they used to have at Best and Less. The away jersey looks even more tennis club too.
