Read on for a quick summary of who we suggest to be considered for FPL captain this week. All in the theme of the Hello, Goodbye Beatles song.
HELLO – Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland looks back in form after becoming human for a while. This week Man City play Bournemouth at home. Man City have yet to lose to Bournemouth in their history and have won all 12 Premier League matches. They have won the six games at home by a combined 22-3.
CALL ME MAYBE – Mo Salah / Other Man City Players
Mo Salah does top our Captain’s Table, but the worry for us is how Liverpool will go up against Luton at Luton. The smaller ground may give them less space, and the Hatters did a decent job against Spurs. Maybe over-reading it, or giving Luton too much credit, but we’re going with Haaland.
Of course if you don’t have Haaland but other Man City players then City’s record v Bournemouth means they are a good option.
GOODBYE – Son Heung-min
Chelsea isn’t quite the team they used to be, and Tottenham are flying up the top of the Premier League, and Son has contributed to that in a big way. But we can’t overlook his dreadful goal/assist rate v Chelsea over the years. Although this Spurs is better, and this Chelsea is worse, and Harry Kane is not around to steal his points. But still, we’re out.
