But which players were the best of the best you ask? We try and make the stats do the talking, and separate the Wheat/Chaff to present the 2023 NRL Round 27 Player Stats and Team of the Week.

On top of the best starting 13, we include the best four interchange players of the week. Seeing who has provided maximum impact from the bench.
Plus we throw in the players we thought were great but the stats did not.

INTERESTING STATS FROM THIS ROUND
- Tolutau Koula was the only player this season to run 300 metres+ in back to back games. Players clearing 300 metres in a game only happened eight time as it was.
- Dom Young shared most line break with Alex Johnston (who topped this stats last season). The Newcastle winger made 14 line breaks in his last eight games from Round 20, while Johnston made just six in six.
- Brendan Paikura set a new record for going on report in a single game with three.
- Players making 100+ post contact metres this season only happened on ten occasions, and only Tino Fa’asuamaleaui did it twice, and he did it in back to back games to end the season.
