STATE OF ORIGIN GAME THREE

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The final game of the 2023 State of Origin series is here, and it may be a dead rubber, but no one cares once that game starts.

NSW will be looking to avoid a clean sweep, something almost unthinkable at the start of the Origin series. But here we are.

You can read our preview in the link below, but Queensland do have the advantage in the H2H for Game Three historically and for Dead Rubbers. NSW hold the advantage in NSW and the Olympic Stadium.

It could be the last game for Blues legends James Tedesco and Brad Fittler if you believe the press.

NRL

FROM FRIDAY TO SUNDAY

Yes the NRL is still going after State of Origin, and we’re up to Round 20 already. 

You know it is Origin time too when the Friday night first course for the weekend is 14th placed Newcastle against last placed Wests Tigers.

The Bulldogs-Broncos game is at least interesting being back at Belmore. Roosters v Melbourne at the SCG on Saturday has a slight feeling of two powers on their way down. Much like two 60 year olds drunkenly swinging at each other in the RSL carpark after close on a Saturday night.

Sunday saves the day with two excellent matches back to back. Warriors v Sharks is an important yard stick for finals for both teams. While at Dolphin OVal aka Kayo Stadium, the Dolphins and Panthers clash in a big test for the new NRL team. It probably won’t help, but they are unbeaten at Dolphin Oval and on a Sunday.

Finally, not all of the NRL betting is on the field. With the Phil Gould v Buzz Rothfield feud brewing over this week, GurglerBet has framed a market in case they take their argument to the boxing ring, like so many rugby league players before them.
