WESTS TIGERS FANS DISAPPOINTED THAT AN OVERPRICED, OVERHYPED HALFBACK ON $1M+THAT HAS WON NOTHING CAN’T JOIN CLUB TO REPLACE AN OVERPRICED, OVERHYPED HALFBACK ON $1M+THAT HAS WON NOTHING

News came through just before Thursday’s non Battle of Brisbane game that Mitchell Moses had resigned with the Eels for multiple years and over $1M a season. This effectively meant he had knocked back an offer to go back to the club he screwed over by leaving and jumping off the bus that then coach Ivan Cleary also abandoned. Although, it has sort of worked out for everyone except the Wests Tigers.

But one local Wests Tigers fan email the Wooden Spooners after the Moses news broke to air their thoughts.

“Seems like the Wests Tigers are hell bent on wasting a million bucks on an overrated halfback, so I was hoping that we could at least get Moses in to shove out Luke Brooks.”

LUKE BROOKS IS JUST GASLIGHTING WESTS TIGERS (AND FOX LEAGUE WRITERS)

After years of abuse, and blame-taking from fans all over the country, and Fox League writers, you sort-of can;t blame Luke Brooks for having enough.

Which made the loss of the ball from an attacking scrum in Friday’s Wests Tigers game at Melbourne even more funny.

The Wooden Spooners can confirm through a spy at the game, that Luke Brooks gave a wink to him before the fateful feed into that scrum, and confirmed after the game in an exclusive interview.

“Well, I knew I was gonna get the blame for the loss, so I thought I’d give them a little smile and send the internet into overdrive.”

HORNIBROOK NEVER BEEN SO POPULAR

The Battle of Brisbane served up and lived up to the hype on Friday, with a game that probably lacked quality but made up for it in contest.

While the on field battle was intense, it had nothing on the back and forths on social media, where the Battle of Brisbane really was.

But despite dropping the name Redcliffe, and any evidence that they exists anywhere geographically, many Broncos fans pointed out to Dolphins fan that they should head back to the peninsula.

And so, the word Hornibrook was trending on Friday as part of the insults, which for people outside Brisbane may have come across as an Only Fans site, which led to a little disappointment in southern states.

The Wooden Spooners tried to get Ted Smout trending, which is the name of the newest bridge from Brisbane to Redcliffe, but was unsuccessful, reaching just 14 Twitter users before we went to bed to sleep off the XXXX Gold.

DRAGONS CONSIDER MAKING ANTHONY GRIFFIN APPLY FOR HIS JOB AFTER EVERY WEEKEND

Anthony Griffin has been odds on to be the first coach sacked in the NRL in 2023, and it isn’t hard to see why after two capitulations in two rounds.

Of course you have to overlook their good first up win, but that is very easy these days with Fox League writers telling us exactly what to think. Much like their other relative in evil Sky News Australia.

But during the week the news came out of Dragons land (no not GOT) that Griffin would have to re-apply for his job for next season, in the most subtle way yet of telling your current coach that you wish for them to be the ex coach.

So emboldened about that going down a treat, the Dragons power brokers are considering making Griffin reapply for his job after every game, to make the sacking process much easier to handle.

The Wooden Spooners at the time of writing are unable to confirm how far up the arse the Dragons could shove according to Griffin.
