Welcome to the GurglerBet Weekend Betting & Sporting Highlights for the weekend beginning 24 March 2023, featuring the very first Dolphins v Broncos NRL Battle of Brisbane.
GurglerBet is the Official Betting Partner of The Gurgler website, and it does betting differently.
First of all GurglerBet is the Home of the Fifty Cent bet. That’s not a minimum limit, but the only betting unit. Making responsible betting at the heart of their wagering.
GurglerBet also offer markets that no one can or dares to offer. Either weekly specials or long standing offers to customers.
Note: GurglerBet is also not actually a betting company in case you were wondering how to put a bet on.
But another weekend of sporting action awaits, as is our big weekly GurglerBet Weekend brought to you by GurglerBet – Home of the Fifty Cent Bet.

THE GURGLERBET WEEKEND SPORTING HIGHLIGHTS
Here are the GurglerBet choice sporting events for the weekend ahead that you should probably tune into, and a special betting offer from each that you probably won’t find anywhere else.
NRL – DOLPHINS v BRONCOS BATTLE OF BRISBANE
FRIDAY 8PM KICK OFF AEST
Has there been a bigger showdown in Brisbane since the glory days of the Power’s Bitter v XXXX powderkeg, the Sally-Anne Atkinson v Jim Soorley Lord Mayor cliffhanger or the people rising up against the closure of the Pinkenba train line and Doboy Station.
And somehow, despite the Dolphins NRL existence topping out at three games, the rivalry already seems genuine and quite nasty. Fantastic, because when it comes to local derbies (and not ones between teams 2000km apart) you want to see hate.
Both teams are undefeated, which is probably about four more wins combined than most would have thought, so the broadcasters, ticket sellers, people giving out those Phins Up things, and Uber Eats deliverers everywhere are rubbing their hands at the prospect.
The Dolphins, aka Redcliffe Dolphins, are the big underdogs, with a side that aside from the Melbourne Storm recruits and possibly The Hammer looks like it could be a Broncos reserve grade team. Anthony Milford hanging around doesn’t help that vision. But their fans (and phins) are quietly, and not-so-quietly confident at beating their cross town rivals. And why not, they’ve answered the critics and more with their 3/3 start.
But the Broncos have looked even better, beating the invincible Panthers, running rings around the Cowboys, and blowing St George Illawarra away last weekend, in the worst performance late in a game by a Dragon since the producers ruined the last season of Game of Thrones.
Either way it goes, and to be honest we’re all about the Phins (and bass – no treble), there’s still betting to be had, and of course GurglerBet offers the markets that no one else dares to.
Follow them below.

NRL – OTHER BATTLES
The Battle of Brisbane is rightly taking centre stage, but there’s still some other great local rivalries and battle to be had.
You can find out How the West Was Won Again, when the 2022 Grand Final repeats itself.
Then down in Scomo country the Sharks take on the DRagons, where both teams will be hoping that the former PM hasn’t secretly joined either of their boards. Cowboys play Titans to complete the All Qld weekend. Wests Tigers and Melbourne aren’t local rivals, but they are close ladder neighbours if you can believe. Whatever happens, you just know it will be Luke Brook’s fault.
FOOTBALL
FROM NOW AND ALL WEEKEND
If it is a huge amount of international football that you are after, then have at it.
There are so many meaningless games for you to throw money at, or enjoy watching.
Some look OK on paper to watch, listed below.
Highlights are England v Italy in a replay of the Euro 2020/1 Final which will hopefully have 100% less racism. Argentina’s return after winning the World Cup, they play Panama, whom we are told will have a leaky defence right up the middle. Either way they are a staggering $91 to win H2H. Superboot Erling Haaland will take on the whole of Spain, and will probably score four goals.
Friday AM | Italy | v | England |
Friday AM | Argentina | v | Panama |
Friday AM | San Marino | v | N Ireland |
Saturday AM | France | v | Netherlands |
Sunday AM | Spain | v | Norway |
Monday AM | England | v | Ukraine |
THE GURGLERBET DRAW OF THE WEEK
Just because a game is tied doesn’t mean it is boring or you can’t make money from it. Well, it can still be boring in the greater context of the actual game being played, but not the tension that hanging on to a 0-0 for your bet gets you.
We get our leading draw expert and one half of the synchronised diving team going by the name of Frankely Speaking, Frankington Stanley to scour the many football divisions from all over the world to provide his best draw option for you.
Guadalupe F.C v Sporting San Jose FC – Costa Rican Primera Division Clausura
Odds courtesy of Sportsbet as GurglerBet isn’t a betting company.
SUMMARY
There’s only one draw in the last six between these sides, but that draw did come on a Friday, like this week’s bet.
Guadaupe have terrible home form with LDDLL their last five at home, but Sporting San Jose are even worse away from home with LLWLL. Or maybe your glass is half full and at least Sporting have the win.
Either way, we foresee tow out of form teams respective of home and away probably stinking it up for a goalless draw.
So bet early and bet often and don’t be scared to draw.
