This week it is simple – 6/8 winners last week were the team further north. Not just Qld winners (where all four teams won) but even the Sydney v Sydney games saw Manly and South triumph. The two odd ones out involved Warriors and Melbourne (and their unbelievable Round 1 winning form).
So whoever is further north this week gets the tip.

2023 NRL Round 2 Barely Interesting Stats Summary
Here we take the best points of interest for each match coming up this weekend, and share them with you for no cost. Feel free to share with friends and family.
- Only the South Queensland Crushers have failed to win their first ever NRL game when played at Suncorp Stadium.
- South Sydney have scored either 12 or 16 points in the last seven away games v Penrith.
- Penrith last lost a game at Penrith on a Thursday to a fellow Sydney club in 2016 – six games ago. They have also won 20 of their last 21 at Penrith v Sydney clubs on any day.
- South Sydney lost all four Thursday games last season.
- Parramatta have won 10/12 Friday games at Commbank/Bankwest Stadium.
- Sharks have won six of their last seven away games to Sydney sides.
- Broncos have won their last four games v North Queensland on a Friday.
- Broncos have also won 15 of their last 16 games at Suncorp Stadium on a Friday v fellow Qld sides.
- Warriors lost 7/8 away games to Sydney clubs last season.
- The Warriors last won an away game in Sydney on a Saturday in August 2018. It’s been nine straight losses since.
- Neither Canberra or the Dolphins have won a game at Kayo Stadium.
- Bulldogs last beat Melbourne in 2016, and it has been seven straight losses since.
- But Melbourne have lost five of their last six home games on a Saturday with all of those losses against Sydney or Canberra clubs.
- Newcastle beat the Wests Tigers at home last season, and it was their only home win v a Sydney club in eight matches.
