Here are our NRL Round 20 Tips Summary and Stats Preview. They couldn’t be any worse than the Round 19 refereeing and Bunker decisions.
Each week we offer up a quick preview glance for each match, a bunch of barely interesting stats, probably more than one could ever need or want.
We also offer up some alternative tips. These alternative tips are often based on a rugby league stat, and sometimes something completely absurd, and are aimed at those NRL tipsters who just can’t be bothered.
This week it’s based on current ladder positions, since all 50-50 and 20-80 calls go to the side higher up on the ladder.
So enjoy the 2022 NRL Round 20 Tips Stats Preview + Alternative Tips where there’s something for everyone. Mostly.
And why not catch our Round 19 Highlights for the best of last weekend’s NRL.

Here we take the best points of interest for each match coming up this weekend, and share them with you for no cost. Feel free to share with friends and family.
Manly and the Roosters have never met on a Thursday. Which is probably a good thing for Manly as they have only won two of ten clashes on a Thursday against fellow Sydney opposition. Roosters record by the way is nine wins from 14 similar games.
The Roosters have won their last three away games on a Thursday and conceded exactly 16 points on each of those three occasions. In fact, they have conceded by a multiple of 16 in seven of their last eight away games on a Thursday – if you include 16, 32 and 0……
If the Storm lose to the Warriors on Friday it will be the first time since 20212 where they have lost every game in a calendar month.
Melbourne have won 12 in a row against the Warriors. They average 51 points per game v Warriors from their last four games.
The Warriors last beat Melbourne in New Zealand back in 2015.
Melbourne have won 11 in a row on a Friday.
More away 16’s for you – Melbourne have conceded 16 points in their last three away games on a Friday.
Parramatta is the only team to beat Penrith twice from the start of the 2020 season.
The Eels have won their last two games on a Friday against Sydney opposition by the exact same score 22-20.
Penrith last lost an away game on August 1 last year.
Gold Coast have lost their last three and five of their last six at home to Canberra. And five of their last six v Canberra on a Saturday.
Titans have won just two of ten games on a Saturday this season. Although, that’s 67% of their total wins for the season.
Souths have won 17 of their last 18 matches on a Saturday.
Wests Tigers have been robbed in their last one match/es away in Queensland.
Broncos have won eight of the nine matches played against the Wests Tigers on a Saturday.
Wests Tigers have won just three of their last 18 Saturday matches. But they have won four of their last five matches on a Saturday against Qld opposition.
Bulldogs have won the last two matches between these sides on a Sunday.
Newcastle have lost their last two games by the exact same score line of 12-42.
Newcastle have conceded a competition worst 32.75 points at home this season – eight more on average than the next worst (Tigers).
