Now we’re back to just the regular old NRL and a finals series not far away, what better companion for a weekend of rugby league than our NRL Round 19 Tips Summary and Stats Preview.
Each week we offer up a quick preview glance for each match, a bunch of barely interesting stats, probably more than one could ever need or want.
We also offer up some alternative tips. These alternative tips are often based on a rugby league stat, and sometimes something completely absurd, and are aimed at those NRL tipsters who just can’t be bothered.
This week it’s based on Twitter followers.
So enjoy the 2022 NRL Round 19 Tips Stats Preview + Alternative Tips where there’s something for everyone. Mostly.
And why not catch our Round 18 Highlights for the best of last weekend’s NRL.

Short on inspiration already? Or looking for that edge to your tipping that no one else in your competition has? Well here are the Alternative NRL Tips for this round.
For something different, and barely rugby league related, we are using Twitter follower numbers for each club. Why, well seems the NRL has quite the following on Twitter, so the more followers, the more support, and more likely that team will win.
Wishful thinking we know.

Here we take the best points of interest for each match coming up this weekend, and share them with you for no cost. Feel free to share with friends and family.
Broncos have lost the last five matches v Parramatta by a combined score of 40-188. Broncos have also lost the last five away games too.
The Eels’ loss against the Cowboys earlier in the season was their first loss against a Qld side in 11 matches. Parramatta’s last loss at Parramatta Stadium (and variants) was in 2016 against the Broncos. Six games ago.
Manly have lost seven straight Friday games. Dragons aren’t much better as they have lost five straight on a Friday.
Even worse, the Dragons have won just one game of their last 14 away games on a Friday against Sydney clubs – going back to 2011.
Roosters have only won two of the 11 away games on a Friday going back to 2020.
Newcastle have won just one of their last nine games v Sydney sides and lost their last four games at home to Sydney sides.
Canberra are undefeated in four home games this season against bottom eight sides (ladder position at time of match).
Panthers haven’t lost any of their 13 games in NSW on a Saturday since 2020.
It was 2018 against Newcastle when Penrith last lost at home on a Saturday at Penrith Stadium. A run of wins since.
Cronulla have won four away games in a row v Sydney teams.
Melbourne v Souths is the NRL’s most lop sides clash for sides still in the comp. Melbourne have won 18/21 clashes v South Sydney since 2010. Melbourne have won 16/18 of Saturday clashes. Melbourne have won 6/8 games v Souths at the Olympic Stadium.
Souths have played two home games this season against teams not from NSW. They have lost both by the exact same scoreline 12-32.
Titans have lost 11 straight away games and six straight v Sydney sides.
Bulldogs have never lost a home game on a Sunday to the Gold Coast.
North Queensland have lost three of four clashes v Sydney teams at home this season.
Cowboys have won just three of 16 home games v Sydney sides since 2020.
The last game between North Queensland and Wests Tigers on a Sunday in Townsville was in 2000, and Cowboys won 38-26.
