EVERYDAY NEWS – Reality Star’s Reality Check

An Australian reality TV star has come down to earth quickly.

Sydney’s Sheyyanne Tellaiquilla (20) finished as runner-up in the popular Channel Nein reality show Romance on a Love Safari, but was shocked when she wasn’t immediately handed a coveted breakfast radio slot.

Posting a number of videos on her TikTok channel, Sheyyanne complained that as runner-up, she should at least be entitled to more media work.

“Ok, maybe a breakfast radio slot was a little ambitious, but I could have at least been offered something! I would’ve even taken a lunchtime or an early evening show. I would’ve made it work! I’m bright, funny, super-extroverted – just what people want in radio hosts. And I’m bloody hot, so I’d look like fire on the bus ads. What have I done wrong?”

Everyday News staff writers contacted a Romance producer (who wished to remain anonymous) and said while they tried to set up Sheyyanne with a radio gig, nobody was interested, mainly because “she had a voice that makes Freddy Kruger dragging his nails down a chalkboard sound pleasant” and “was so self-obsessed she made a certain former ex-US President seem humble.”

“Sheyanne was a queen bee bully and massive b***h in year 12! She coasted on having bigger boobs than all the other girls, and never bothered doing any schoolwork, except for some plays, but only because she could be the centre of attention. She only did reality TV because she had no other life skills and expected everything to be handed to her because she’s ‘super hot’, as she used to say. My girlfriends and I have had a lot of fun sitting down and watching her make a fool of herself on that stupid Romance show. It’s hillarious,” said Kate, Sheyyanne’s former year 12 classmate.

In breaking news, Sheyanne announced on her TikTok that she’s starring in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother, saying that “I don’t care about radio anymore – it’s only for meathead ex-footy players and washed-up actors – but I’m excited to get back into reality TV where I belong.”

Everyday News is a brand new general news/parody section of The Gurgler, and definitely not a lame rip-off of ‘The Betoota Advocate’. We swear.
