After a rest weekend off, our weekly look forward to the big weekend of HostPlus Cup returns with our Queensland Cup Round 5 Preview featuring as many barely interesting stats as we could muster for this weekend and expert tips. Plus ours.
Four rounds down and the Central Capras are on top with a 100% record, that four wins in a row beats any record we have going back to 2014. The Tigers are the only other unbeaten team as most of the bottom four from 2021 gets turned on its head.
And the beauty of Round 5 is that the Tigers take on the Capras in a top of the table clash no one would have believed in pre season.
On top of that it’s another long weekend, and Monday sees the tradition Burleigh v PNG Hunters game which is usually a season highlight. The Hunters needing a turn around in recent form to get a win this weekend.
But there’s much more to learn ahead from our HostPlus Cup-Queensland Cup Round 5 preview.
Queensland Cup Round 5 Predictions
Onto our regular weekly tipping.
The merge of Intrust Super and HostPlus may have seen the competition name change from Intrust Super Cup to HostPlus Cup, but we still have Intrust Super’s Brendan O’Farrell joining us for the 2022 season again. He is the multiple reigning champion after all for our website.
New for 2022 is the main man of the local independent rugby League website Nothing But League. They have outstanding rugby league coverage and still have time for Queensland Cup here too.
