Staff writers at Wooden Spooners have revealed some big news at Fox League.
In a minor miracle, the Fox staff writers have vowed not to write any more clickbait articles about the Wests Tigers.
This came after a wave of guilt rushed over Fox League headquarters following the Tigers’ heartbreaking loss to the Gold Coast on Friday night, leaving the Tigers winless after four rounds and anchored in last place.
“We can’t help but feel responsible for the Tigers’ downfall,” said one anonymous staff writer. “We not only milked Wild Wests: Tales from Tiger Town for every last big of clickbait goodness, but then have continued hammering the team with pointless articles full of conjecture, vicious rumours about Madge, and a lot of ‘bum mail’. It must be hard to play your best footy with all this going on.”
In an emergency production meeting on Saturday morning, the Fox League staff writers decided to shift their clickbait targets to other struggling suburban Sydney clubs, like St George Illawarra and Canterbury-Bankstown, and vowed to lay off the poor old Tigers for the rest of the season.
Though, that vow was broken only a few hours later when a staff writer got some juicy goss about Robbie Farah and Madge having a ‘heated discussion’ in a Balmain restaurant. Like seeing the Bat Signal in Gotham City, the temptation to continue their unhealthy obsession with the Tigers was too hard to resist.
“Oh well, we tried to resist for a few hours. Honestly,” said another anonymous staff writer as they began typing.
