MATCH BY MATCH BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Wests Tigers have won all three games v Qld on a Thursday. Although they have won just two of their ten away games on a Thursday.
Gold Coast Titans have lost all five games on a Thursday. The Gold Coast Chargers are the only Gold Coast team to win on a Thursday, and that was against the laide Rams.
West Tigers have won three of the last four at CBUS Stadium v Titans. And four of their last five at the ground if you include the Bulldogs game.
Gold Cost have lost their last three games v Sydney teams at home. Eight of their last nine too. Plus 14 of their last 16.
Newcastle have won the last four games between these sides. None have been at Shark Park.
Sharks have won their last four matches v Newcastle at Shark Park or equivalent name.
Four of the last five Sharks games on a Friday have been decided by five points or less. Three of those games have seen field goals.
Newcastle have won just four of their 20 away trips v non Sydney clubs on a Friday. Obscure enough for you.
Penrith and Souths have the NRL’s second worst and worst record respectively in April since 1998.
Penrith are going for a 13th win in a row at home on a Friday this weekend.
It’s 19 in a row at Penrith Stadium going back to 2019. They average just 9 points against in that run.
Souths have only lost three of their last 16 away games v Sydney clubs. All three were against Penrith.
Souths have scored exactly 12 points four times in the last six clashes v Penrith.
Warriors have won all of their matches v Broncos at a neutral venue. (1/1)
This will be the Broncos first game at Sunshine Coast Stadium / Dolphin Oval
Broncos have lost eight of their last nine away games on a Saturday.
The last five times Broncos have won either two or three consecutive games, the first loss is by an average of 36 points.
The last seven games between these sides on a Saturday have been at Manly’s home ground.
Roosters have won three straight in Qld v North Queensland.
Cowboys have won just three of their 15 clashes v Sydney clubs since 2021. One of seven at their current home ground in that run.
North Queensland lost all eight games against the top six sides last season. Aside from the 24-0 loss to Penrith, the Cowboys scored either 16 or 18 in all of those games.
Bulldogs have the best H2H record v Melbourne since 1998, their Storm’s winning rate is still 51%.
Melbourne have now lost three of their past four Saturday games.
Even worse, the Storm have lost five of their last six matches at AAMI Park on a Saturday.
Parramatta have scored exactly 12 in their past three meetings v Dragons and won just one.
Parramatta have won five straight on a Sunday. Dragons have lost their past four Sunday clashes and conceded at just over 41 points per game.
