And it’s the first midweek edition, which gives us less time than usual to produce this. But produce we have.

Along with the Captain’s Table is a load of key stats for general FPL knowledge, like who is taking the most shots, chances created, FPL Bonus Points, our own Game Difficulty rating and more.

All of those stats await, but first help yourself to a seat at the Fantasy Premier League FPL Captain Picks GW16 Captain’s Table.

FPL Captain Picks GW16 Quick Analysis

Mo Salah just keeps on scoring and assisting, and you’d be mad not to have him, and if you have him he should be captain. A good scoring record v Villa and he has only missed a goal or an assist in one game this season (GW2 v Burnley). Let the good times roll we say.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is a very solid choice as a back-up captain, but does rely on clean sheets as well points further up the field. Aston Villa have scored at least one goal in their last four matches. Alexander-Arnold does have some returns against Aston Villa and his FPL Form is equal best.

Sadio Mane is a left field choice. Not only has he made our Captain’s Table, but is second overall for our top ten stats below as well. And he has a goal/assist at better than one per game v Aston Villa.

Diogo Jota is high up our list again, but missed out last weekend, and his scoring rate v Aston Villa is not as sharp as other.

That’s enough Liverpool for now. And who knows, Aston Villa may give them a really tough game. Aston Villa would be fourth if the table started from the start date of Gerrard’s tenure at Aston Villa.

Chelsea welcome Leeds this weekend which gives Reece James and Mason Mount a chance to shine some more. Both were lively last weekend v West Ham so should expect that to continue at home. Although Chelsea have drawn their past two at home. But Chelsea are three wins from three v Midlands/North East sides this season and have scored nine goals and conceded none.

Man City have some great FPL players, but taking them also means you’re having to trust Pep. Two of the players we suggest are Bernardo Silva and despite his absence from our table above, Gundogan is another good option at great value. But with Kevin de Bruyne back, and Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez all other options in the same side you’re gonna have to play Pep Roulette. Wolves have troubled Man City in previous seasons, but Wolves this season are yet to score a point or a goal v big six opposition,

Despite also not being on our list, Cristiano Ronaldo is worth considering with a new manager bounce, and because he’s Cristiano Ronaldo. They play Norwich who, although improved, have a terrible record against the big six this season. Norwich have no points v big six opposition this season, and scored zero goals and conceded 16 in four games.

There’s also Son and two Leicester players Jamie Vardy and James Maddison but who knows with how those clubs have been affected by Covid. Our full Captain’s table which has the full selection of premium players is at the end. In that full table you will see that Marcus RashfordRaul Jiminez , and Gabriel Jesus have good scoring records v this week’s opposition. Phil Foden is also 1 goal from one game v Wolves.

FPL Captain Picks GW14 Final Say

FPL 2021-22 Fantasy Premier League Captain hello goodbye

HELLOMo Salah – Tops most stats and a good scoring record against this week’s opponent. And he’s no less than the best player in the world right now. Yeah, that’s enough to leave him as captain.

CALL ME MAYBEMason Mount / Reece James- Chelsea are playing Leeds and both of these players continue to look dangerous. It’s a real break Glass in Emergency for FPL for someone brave enough to shun the FPL community and not captain Mo Salah.

GOODBYE Spurs players – Covid appears to be about to hit football again, and Spurs are the team most affected right now. No point captaining players who won’t play.
