Trent Alexander-Arnold has taken out top spot on the basis of best current form which makes up 30% of our Captain’s Table rating. Whilst his current form is hard to argue with, his record v Everton is a little lean.
Not that Mo Salah‘s scoring record v Everton is much better, just two goals in five games must be close to as low a return as you get for the Egyptian.
Diogo Jota returned a few goals last weekend and is back in our top ten. And is currently second for our key stats behind Salah. He is certainly worth taking with Firmino out for could be some short-term fun.
They are all are at the top or near the top of so many of our FPL Metrics.
Any way you like it, Liverpool have a lot of plusses going into this midweek fixture – Liverpool have won the last four midweek clashes v Everton by a combined 16-2 or Everton haven’t beaten Liverpool in a midweek league clash since 1985 – 11 games ago.
Now away from Liverpool.
Chelsea visit Watford during the week, and given their hosts generosity the Blues could score plenty this weekend. Reece James finishes up in our top ten and has been in great form. Only the very best defenders make our top ten captains choice, and below has two including Chelsea’s James. We still think Mason Mount is also a good option to add to your team. Chelsea have been far more democratic with their scoring this season.
Man City have some great FPL players, but taking them also means you’re having to trust Pep. Two of the less fashionable players – Cancelo and Bernardo Silva top our list for Man City.
