Every gameweek we take a truckload of stats and compile them into our Captain’s table and then have a score out of 100 who we think should be captain.

This week the decision is the easiest it has ever been, with Mo Salah continuing to do his thing. But is there someone else with a new manager putting their hand up?

Along with the Captain’s Table is a load of key stats for general FPL knowledge, like who is taking the most shots, chances created, FPL Bonus Points, our own Game Difficulty rating and more.

All of those stats await, but first help yourself to a seat at the Fantasy Premier League FPL Captain Picks GW11 Captain’s Table.

FPL Captain Picks GW11 Analysis

Mo Salah like most weeks these days is top of our Captain’s table, and by half an ocean. How can you argue against having him wear your armband. He has the most points, best current form score, and gets a goal + assist at better than a goal per game against West Ham. Well most of them have been against a worse West Ham than the top four hopeful it is today, so there may be the crack if you’re in the market for one. But seriously, he rates 95.3 our of a possible 100 and is nearly 40 points clear of the next best.

Mo’s brilliance is good timing heading into Mo-vember. Why not sign up for Movember a charity cause where you get to grow a moustache for Men’s Health, and to look good.

But for those Mo-less few or those you like to be different here is the best of the rest.

Manchester City are a write off in our opinion. Look at the selection above’s goals/assist record v Man Utd. If you take out recent recruit Jack Grealish whose previous games v Man Utd were for Aston Villa it is pretty grim. Sterling, Mahrez, Jesus, Foden, De Bruyne, have a combined seven goals/assists in 65 combined matches. Phil Foden at least looks sharp at the moment. But who knows with Pep.

Talking about Man Utd the players, and in particular Ronaldo, continue to ave their manager’s bacon. As a result Ronaldo features in the top ten this weekend for their big match v Man City. Marcus Rashford too joins the party in the captain’s table but you’d be taking a sizeable punt on that one. Bruno Fernandes ended up 12th for the record.

Mason Mount is up to second and Chelsea are playing Burnley at home. Although the Clarets got an overdue win at home last weekend, Chelsea do tend to like playing the bottom six sides at home. Think of the seven they scored against Norwich last home game. Whilst we don’t think it will be seven or three goals to Mason Mount, it will likely be a couple of goals to nil. Mount is a great choice, if he is fit. Although, there might be better value with the defenders on offer at Chelsea right now.

Michail Antonio was surprisingly absent in the goal scoring in last weekend’s big 4-1 defeat of Aston Villa, but West Ham look good. They’ll need to be with Liverpool coming to visit. Liverpool have outscored West Ham by 14-3 in their last five trips to West Ham and Liverpool (W5 D2) are unbeaten in the last seven games v West Ham on a Sunday. Antonio had a decent five goals in nine v Liverpool though, and West Ham are surely the equal of Brighton who caused Liverpool trouble last weekend.

Spurs duo Son and Kane, are in the equation for this week, and there’s a bit to like about their offering. First of all there’s new manager Antonio Conte, who will surely be a step up and inject some fresh energy. Secondly Spurs are playing Everton, a side both Son and Kane have a good record against, going at a goal/assist per game almost. Plus Everton are on their mid season wobble, losing three in a row and two in a row at home. If Watford can score five, surely even an out of form Harry Kane gets his season going this weekend.

Jamie Vardy usually likes to score against Arsenal but didn’t. One wonders if this streaky striker is on the downward slope for now? He’s 11th on our list but are playing Leeds who haven’t been great this season.

Talking of Leeds, Raphinha makes our top ten, and is a very left field choice for captain. He does like a shot, and is only behind Salah, Mane and Antonio for shots. Although, they are from a little further out than the previously mentioned.

So we have broken down the shots, touches and chances by GW and via opposition type for your statistical pleasure.

And this week we provide the same for three other premium selections, all with their problems of FPL point scoring this season.

CAPTAIN’S TABLE DATA EXPLAINED

If you’re after an explanation on the Captain’s Table data help yourself to the below.

Goals and Assists v Opposition are compiled and compared to the best return per game for each player against this week’s opposition. The top return is awarded 20 points and points are reduced on a sliding scale from there. For players who haven’t played against this week’s opposition we have used goals + assists per game from this season. They are coloured in gold text.

Form taken straight from the Official FPL website. The top return is awarded 30 points and points are reduced on a sliding scale from there.

FPL points per Minute  is a measurement taking the overall FPL points scored by the minutes on the field. This is so injured players or mid season signings are disadvantaged. The top return is awarded 20 points and points are reduced on a sliding scale from there.

Key Stats per Game is our own in house combination of key FPL stats for each players, which is then compared to the top results and goes down on a sliding scale. The fields include Goals per Game, Shots per Game Assists per Game, Key Passesper Game, Shots On Target per Game, and Chances per Game. Top Player get a maximum of 10 points and awarded on a sliding scale from there.

Bonus Points we tally up the Bonus Points throughout the 2021-22 season. Top Player get a maximum of 10 points and awarded on a sliding scale from there.

Match Rater – in addition to our Captain’s Table we have also devised our own Premier League Fixture Difficulty which we have included for a max 10 points. Because we think that game itself should be rated as well.

Multiplier – we have taken each player’s record against big six clubs and Home/Away goalscoring trends and applied a multiplier based on positive or negative trend.

Total all the scores are combined for an overall total. Maximum is 100.
