2021 F1 Season Power Rankings – Race 16 2021 Turkish Grand Prix Ratings
Here is the breakdown of the best and blurst driver from the most recent race.
- Valtteri Bottas, who we often refer to unfairly as Nottas due to invisibility at some races, took his first win of the season in Turkey, and he also tops of Turkish GP Rating for the first time.
- Not much in it for second as Leclerc gets points for being best of the rest. Max Verstappen holds on for second though.
- WE’d love to give Carlos Sainz more points after his drive, but that’s how the points work.
- Daniel Ricciardo’s bad weekend is underlined by the fact hat only Mazepin had fewer points from the Turkish GP.
2021 F1 Season Power Rankings Progress – Martini Medal Driver of the Year
Here are the current overall standings for our Driver of the Year winner – the Martini Medal. Named in honour of one of F1’s most unsung heroes – Pierluigi Martini of Minardi fame.
We have the overall scores as they stand, plus a visual which shows the flow of each driver’s position throughout the season.
- Max Verstappen remains well out in front of our Driver of the Year standings, and is the first driver to pass 1000 Driver of the Year points for the season.
- Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly swap places again for the top five spot.
- Daniel Ricciardo falls behind Fernando Alonso this weekend.
2021 F1 Season Power Rankings – Other Interesting Stats
In case everything we have offered up isn’t enough, here is the best of the visuals from the F1 season so far.
TEAM MATE H2H
Here are the H2H results for the season so far.
Note that for the race we only count it when both drivers finish, unless the retired driver’s retirement was self inflicted as judged by us.
- George Russell and Pierre Gasly maintain their 100% qualifying record over their team mates.
- Gasly and Verstappen remain the best at beating their team mate on raceday.
QUALIFYING ANALYSIS
So who is the most consistent qualifier? The closest to pole position overall time-wise? What’s gap between the team mates?
Do certain cars or drivers excel on certain tracks.
All of that and more is answered below.
RACE – FIRST LAP NET PROGRESS
Who’s gaining or losing on the first lap? Well Kimi Raikkonen continues to be the first lap king, with twice as many positions gained on lap one that the nearest competitor,
Gasly continues to be the worst driver for lap one gains, and once again he found himself into trouble at the first turn. Knocking out Alonso.
FREE PRACTICE RESULTS
For no good reason in the Free Practice results. This week we added total laps covered in Free Practice.
