BARELY INTERESTING STATS

Man Utd are unbeaten at home in seven games v Everton (W4 D3)

Everton have only won at Man Utd twice – once eight games ago in 2013 and the other time was in the first month of the Premier League starting in 1992. Both of those wins were on a Wednesday, so Everton haven’t won at Old Trafford in the Premier League era on a Saturday.

Man Utd are on a 10 game unbeaten streak v Everton in October (W8 D2)

Three sides are yet to play a big six opponent this season, two of them are Man Utd and Everton.

WOLVES v NEWCASTLE  – SAT 3:00PM

BARELY INTERESTING STATS

The last five games between these sides has ended 1-1.

Wolves haven’t beaten Newcastle at home for seven games (L2 D5). Their last win at home to Newcastle was in 2003.

Wolves are yet to score at home this season. No other team in the top five European leagues or the three lower tiers of English football share that stat. Yet Wolves’ expected goals at home is better than 11 other teams including this weekend’s opponent and Chelsea.

Newcastle has almost twice the expected goals against than Wolves.

Norwich average more shots this season than Brentford and Spurs despite scoring just two goals.

Burnley have won their last six home league matches v Norwich, scoring two goals in five of those games and three in one. Norwich did win the last game at Turf Moor but it was a cup fixture.

Burnley (D2 L1) didn’t win at home last season to promoted sides.

Southampton have drawn their two games against big six opposition this season.

Southampton (W1 D2) are unbeaten in their last three v Chelsea. And their last three at Chelsea.

Southampton have scored three goals in tow of their last three trips to Chelsea on a Saturday.

There have been 20 goals in the last five meetings between these teams in October.

Southampton (D3 L3) didn’t win in London last season.

Despite scoring six goals at home, Chelsea’s expected goals in the fourth worst.

Watford have won four in a row v Leeds.

Watford are also undefeated in their last five matches at Leeds (W3 D2) and have scored 16 goals in those five away games.

Leeds had a 100% record v promoted sides last season.

Leeds lost just once at home last season to London clubs.

BRIGHTON v ARSENAL  – SAT 5:30PM

BARELY INTERESTING STATS

Last season’s 1-0 win at Brighton was Arsenal’s first win there since Brighton returned to the top flight.

Brighton (W2 D1) are undefeated so far against London sides.

These teams have only met in October once before, Arsenal won that 2-0 in 2017.

Brighton are yet to play a big six side this season.

CRYSTAL PALACE v LEICESTER  – SUN 2:00PM

BARELY INTERESTING STATS

Leicester (W3 D1) are undefeated in their last four v Crystal Palace.

These teams have only met twice before on a Sunday. Leicester have won both games. Crystal Palace haven’t scored in either.

Leicester conceded the sixth most amount of goal last season to London sides despite winning 5/12 games.

West Ham (W5 D1) were one of only four teams not to lose to promoted sides last season.

These sides haven’t met since 1993 and West Ham won that game 4-0.

There have been no goals scored in Sunday fixtures between these teams. Their only match ended 0-0 in 1992.

West Ham didn’t concede a goals last season to teams with red and white striped kits (Southampton and Sheffield Utd)

Man City have scored four goals in their last two league games v Liverpool.

Man City won the last game between these sides at Anfield, but before that their last win was in 2003 and was a run of 21 games without a win.

That last start win was the only win for Manchester City v Liverpool in 23 games played on a Sunday.

Man City haven’t beaten Liverpool in October since 1977 – eight games ago.

Liverpool scored the most goals per game v big six clubs last season, Man City conceded the fewest.

Combining shots stats – these teams average 43 shots per games with 13 on target.

The combined expected goals for these sides is 31.
