BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Leeds won all five away games against bottom six teams (at time of match) last season. And by the healthy margin of 14-2.
Newcastle won 1/7 at home to teams in the middle eight.
Leeds have scored exactly one goal in every one of the four Friday clashes v Newcastle. Their record is W1 D2 L1. Which is exactly the same record of Newcastle.
Despite not winning at home, Newcastle have only been outscored by five other teams.

Brentford have drawn their two away games this season, and were undefeated in their last six league games in the Championship last season for an overall record of W4 D4.
No team is underperforming to their Expected Goals than Wolves who are over five goals behind the expected goals.

Watford have won the last four clashes v Norwich and both of last season’s games in the Championship 1-0.
Watford have the worst expected goals figure this season so far. Their xG is 2.54 which is only just behind their three goals scored. Norwich for the record is third last and at 3.38. Interestingly in between is Leicester.
Norwich’s one goal in their last home game was their first goal in seven home games in the Premier League. Going back to their last stint in the top flight, Norwich have lost seven straight at home.
Norwich have yet to win or draw at home this season and Watford have zero points on the road.

Burnley have scored three times as many goals as Arsenal this season.
No team has conceded more away this season than Arsenal.
No team has touched the ball less than Burnley this season.
Only four teams have had more shots on goal this season than Arsenal.
Arsenal haven’t beaten Burnley in their last three meeting (L1 D2) but before then it was 11 straight wins. Although Arsenal are undefeated in seven matches away to Burnley (W4 D3)
Burnley scored just one goal in six games v big six clubs at home last season.

LIVERPOOL v CRYSTAL PALACE – SAT 3:00PM
BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Liverpool have won eight straight v Crystal Palace. They won the last three by a combined 13-0.
Liverpool have also won the last six on a Saturday.
Before last season’s slump at home Crystal Palace were the last team to beat Liverpool at Anfield in 2017.
These teams have only met in September once, Liverpool won that game 9-0.
Liverpool had the equal best record v London clubs last season with Man City.
Crystal Palace won 1/12 games v Big Six clubs last season and their 32 goals conceded was the second most.
Mane and Salah’s 38 shots on goal this season is the same number of shots that Crystal Palace have had all together this season.

MANCHESTER CITY v SOUTHAMPTON – SAT 3:00PM
BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Man City were undefeated (W4 D1) for home games v bottom six sides last season (at time of playing) and conceded just one goal.
No team conceded more than Southampton’s 22 goals in six games away to big six clubs last season.
Southampton are winless (L6 D1) in their last seven away games and conceded 25 goals.
Man City have scored five in their past two league matches, and won the last game between these sides by 5-2.
Man City (W11 D1) are undefeated in their last 12 games at home to Southampton. But Southampton have scored at least one goal in 11 of those games.
Southampton have lost just one match of seven v Man City in September.

Aston Villa haven’t lost to Everton since they arrived back in the Premier League (W2 D2)
The last time Everton beat Aston Villa in September was 1980 – it’s been W2 D3 to Aston Villa since.
Aston Villa along with Man City and Everton were the only teams last season not to be beaten by either Merseyside team.

Leicester have created the fewest chances this season so far.
Brighton have had the third most touches this season.
Leicester are undefeated going back to 2014 v Brighton (W6 D2) – 2013 at Brighton.
Leicester’s 3-0 in December last season was the first time the teams had met on a Sunday.

Manchester United haven’t lost an away match for 35 games in the Premier League. Basically the Red Devils haven’t lost an away game in the league since Bruno Fernandes signed.
Liverpool were the only other team not to lose in London last season.
West Ham are undefeated in the last two home games v Man Utd on a Sunday. West Ham have also won the last two games on a Sunday v Man UTd.
Only West Ham and Newcastle had a worse record against the big six clubs last season.

BARELY INTERESTING STATS
Chelsea beat Spurs in wins against London teams last season 7-3.
Only Fulham and Burnley scored fewer goals v big six clubs last season.
Only Wolves, Norwich and Arsenal have scored fewer goals than Spurs this season.
Chelsea have won the last two games v Spurs to nil.
Chelsea haven’t lost to Spurs in eight games in September going back to 1985.
