2021 F1 Season Power Rankings – Race 13 2021 Dutch Grand Prix Ratings

Here is the breakdown of the best and blurst driver from the most recent race.

Max Verstappen wins our Dutch GP race ratings and why wouldn’t he given his weekend was just about perfect.

Behind him Lewis Hamilton is/was second best, and was also that for most of the weekend.

The best of the rest belonged to Pierre Gasly who has quietly and efficiently gone about his 2021 season. Safe to say he is currently in the best form of any ex team mate of Max Verstappen. He wasn’t far off taking second place off Lewis Hamilton too.

2021 F1 Season Power Rankings Progress – Martini Medal Driver of the Year

Here are the current overall standings for our Driver of the Year winner – the Martini Medal. Named in honour of one of F1’s most unsung heroes – Pierluigi Martini of Minardi fame.

We have the overall scores as they stand, plus a visual which shows the flow of each driver’s position throughout the season.

  • Max Verstappen remains well out in front of our Driver of the Year standing, and extended his gap to Lewis Hamilton after this weekend. Although Lewis leads the points tally for the last four races.
  • Nicholas Latifi has scored more G-Ratings points than Sergio Perez in the last three races.
  • A lean three race run for Lando Norris allows Charles Leclerc and Pierre Gasly to close in on the title of Best of the Rest.
  • Fernando Alonso jumped two places at the start of the Dutch GP and our Driver of the Year rankings.

2021 F1 Season Power Rankings – Other Interesting Stats

In case everything we have offered up isn’t enough, here is the best of the visuals from the F1 season so far.

TEAM MATE H2H

Here are the H2H results for the season so far.

Note that for the race we only count it when both drivers finish, unless the retired driver’s retirement was self inflicted as judged by us.

  • George Russell and Pierre Gasly maintain their 100% qualifying record over their team mates.
  • Sergio Perez is currently the worst driver for H2H. Only once has he beaten Max Verstappen in race or qualifying. Even Mazepin is making progress.

QUALIFYING ANALYSIS

So who is the most consistent qualifier? The closest to pole position overall time-wise? What’s gap between the team mates?

Do certain cars or drivers excel on certain tracks.

All of that and more is answered below.

RACE – FIRST LAP NET PROGRESS

Who’s gaining or losing on the first lap? Well Kimi Raikkonen continues to be the first lap king, and given there was no actual race we have not assigned points for first lap gains. So the results are as is from Budapest.

Here are the points of interest.

  • Kimi Raikkonen is still the only driver to have not dropped a place off the start. His worst return was a zero net movement five rounds ago. And this round due to Covid.
  • For all of his great work this season Pierre Gasly has yet to gain a spot on the first lap this season.
  • Esteban Ocon is net zero after getting lucky at the first corner in Hungary.
  • Mazepin has put together a run of positive first lap results.

FREE PRACTICE RESULTS

For no good reason in the Free Practice results. This week we added total laps covered in Free Practice.
