The 2021-22 Football League season is at full steam now with the first of the midweek rounds already here and to celebrate we offer up our EFL Football League Predictions GW4.
Each weekend or midweek we will make predictions for all of the Championship, League One, League Two using our in-house method using multiple football stats that will grow throughout the season.
It takes away any in-house bias as a long-term Ipswich Town fan or a recent AFC Wimbledon and Wycombe enthusiast.
Our EFL Football League Predictions GW4 will work out a H2H% between both sides, and assign a sure fire prediction. Although if it is with 47.% and 52.5% then we call it a draw.
Plus we’ll throw in stats for each division for you to enjoy.
For now immerse yourself in our EFL Football League Predictions GW4.
Here are our Championship predictions for this weekend, fresh from an encouraging 8/12 from the weekend round.
Our tips sees Bristol City continue Swansea’s miserable start to the season. That’s the Friday night clash too for those with time to burn.
In arguably the best game of the weekend we have a draw between West Brom and Blackburn. 21 goals have been scored in three games so should be well worth the effort for the early Saturday kick off.
The most lop sided prediction is Stoke to beat Nottingham Forest.
Current winning % = 54%
Last Round (GW3) – 8/12
Welcome to the expanded 2021-22 season stats for the Championship with a load of stats now available with the season flying as it is.
The Home and Away + Opponents Position comparison are using the points per game.
There’s some expected goals figures for those who love their xG.
Plus we throw in a quick look to see who is getting best value for money. Fallen Sheffield United with one point is clearly going to feature at the wrong end of this table. At the sharp end promoted Peterborough are best value for nothing.
Going down a tier it is over to the most competitive leagues in Europe – fallen giants, up and comers, and all the teams in between.
Current 100% Portsmouth have our biggest advantage H2H% of the weekend’s action. Which seems obvious as they are playing a side with a 0/3 record.
Current winning % = 47%.
Last Round (GW3) – 6/12
LEAGUE ONE STATS
League One season stats are now here with a good mix of promoted sides, underdogs and big name clubs all battling at the top.
And a so far disappointing club we love towards the bottom.
Last and certainly not least are the League Two selections.
This is currently our worst league for winning %, but with new new signing we’re sure we can be solid midfield by October.
Unsurprisingly all three teams on 100% record are expected to win again this weekend according to our prediction system.
Current winning 33%
Last Round (GW3) – 6/12
LEAGUE TWO STATS
And finally we come to the current results and stats for League Two.
There’s still a few teams on the 100% record, with Harrogate games affecting the league through Covid.
Oldham sit bottom of the Football League with zero points, but have at least scored a goal, unlike two teams above them.
Talking of no goals both Tranmere and Northampton are yet to concede.
